He's obviously a bit of a dickhead, he's gloating after a great win, so what? Why wouldn't he want to erase the Ward fight from people's memory lol, it was a comprehensive loss.

I'd be surprised if Froch could make as much money against Chavez as he could fighting DeGale at home, but I could be wrong, and he could still do both, if fighting in Vegas is that important to him for some reason. Certainly DeGale is a much more worthy opponent, but I could see that being a pretty ugly tooth and nail type fight wheras Froch would probably eat Chavez up so it makes good sense for him that way.

What so the guy cant gloat a bit now? That was the finish of the year so far for a fight of its magnitude.
He's got every right to be cheeky after all the shit hurled his way from fans and more imprtantly Groves himself.

If Arum wants an easy road to a title then he should have his kid fight Bika or Abraham. He's already had Jr magically placed as mandatory in both Orgs.

Firstly , Groves didn't hurl any shit at him , he just spoke as he saw it , and in the 1st fight he more or less proved everything he said. in the 2nd punch he got caught with a great shot in a close fight.
Secondly, yeah he can gloat, but it only takes away from his achievement . For example, all he's done is beat a decent british fighter , hardly grounds for putting him in the HOF! I have no problem in him fighting Chavez , I think he should. He's coming to the end of his career and he should quite rightly look after his own interests, but Degale has (finally) got into a mandatory position on merit , so don't start with the "he's not worthy of getting in the ring with someone as brilliant as me" crap. that's how it all started with Groves.
all he has to say is "I've fought Groves twice because the IBF wanted me to, beat him twice and now I feel I deserve a voluntary." simples!

Huh, he most certainly did and plenty. And I never said it was not a close fight. You can check my card if you like in the fight thread.

Secondly all fighters gloat so it does not just take away from Frochs achievement then. Groves gloated and whined and cried after the first fight and he lost. "All he's done is beat a decent british fighter".....are you kidding me? And who's talking about the Hall? Degale is a fraud and has no business being in a mandatory position anymore then Chavez does. Chavez has not even fought at 168. I'd rather see Froch unify but you are correct, he sees the sun coming over the hill so I hope he cashes out. He's worked his ass off for it, has ducked nobody and fought the best in the division. Not much more to ask of the guy. He does deserve an optional and does not have to say anything and the Ibf makes exceptions for unification's even when a mandatory is due.

Yes because historically, gloating/shit talking has ruined fighters. One only needs to look to Muhammad Ali and Floyd Mayweather to see that.

Truth be told, I have become more of a fan of groves in these losses than froch in these wins. Groves could do some work if he learned to relax and stopped gassing himself out with tension and controlled his breathing.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
