Default It Starts!!! all of a sudden Froch is Superman!!!

So straight after the fight , he was acting like a proper gent, praising Groves etc. because he learnt from the fact that he looked like a prick after the last fight. now the crowd love him, people on this forum are talking about HOF and all that bullshit.
So now he is talking about "Groves crawling back under the stone he came from" because he's supposedly just seen the behind the ropes footage. And now it's "Degale isn't good enough for me" and "I Absolutely Annihilated George Groves!"
At the end of the day, he caught Groves with a Quality punch , but as he said, it was very close all fight and one judge had Groves winning till the KO. Hardly an annihilation.
Take your win and f**K off to Vegas to fight Chavez. Chavez and Arum only want Froch because they see it as an easy title to get at that weight to enhance his profile. He may be big news over here, but in the States , they are still less than impressed because they remember the way Ward Schooled him. Between Froch and Hearn, they almost tried to erase Andre Ward from People's Memory.

He's obviously a bit of a dickhead, he's gloating after a great win, so what? Why wouldn't he want to erase the Ward fight from people's memory lol, it was a comprehensive loss.

I'd be surprised if Froch could make as much money against Chavez as he could fighting DeGale at home, but I could be wrong, and he could still do both, if fighting in Vegas is that important to him for some reason. Certainly DeGale is a much more worthy opponent, but I could see that being a pretty ugly tooth and nail type fight wheras Froch would probably eat Chavez up so it makes good sense for him that way.

What so the guy cant gloat a bit now? That was the finish of the year so far for a fight of its magnitude.
He's got every right to be cheeky after all the shit hurled his way from fans and more imprtantly Groves himself.

If Arum wants an easy road to a title then he should have his kid fight Bika or Abraham. He's already had Jr magically placed as mandatory in both Orgs.

Froch is a legend....if Ward is brave enough he should give Froch a rematch

Ward hasn't improved and Froch is getting stronger...if you look at who each have fought you can tell who the bigger draw is

Groves talked some hardcore shit in the lead up and would no doubt be gloating if the shoe was on the other foot.

Froch pulled off a great win with a highlight reel KO that will be replayed for the rest of time. He deserves to gloat. He has two KO wins over his rival. He's won the war.

Firstly , Groves didn't hurl any shit at him , he just spoke as he saw it , and in the 1st fight he more or less proved everything he said. in the 2nd punch he got caught with a great shot in a close fight.
Secondly, yeah he can gloat, but it only takes away from his achievement . For example, all he's done is beat a decent british fighter , hardly grounds for putting him in the HOF! I have no problem in him fighting Chavez , I think he should. He's coming to the end of his career and he should quite rightly look after his own interests, but Degale has (finally) got into a mandatory position on merit , so don't start with the "he's not worthy of getting in the ring with someone as brilliant as me" crap. that's how it all started with Groves.
all he has to say is "I've fought Groves twice because the IBF wanted me to, beat him twice and now I feel I deserve a voluntary." simples!

Could you please explain what merit DeGale earned his mandatory position on? His last 3 opponents who supposedly he "earned" this title shot off are rated #35, #114, and #20 in the world at the weight. That's not any form of earning as how it's defined over here. Maybe there's a bit of slang being incorporated?

Huh, he most certainly did and plenty. And I never said it was not a close fight. You can check my card if you like in the fight thread.

Secondly all fighters gloat so it does not just take away from Frochs achievement then. Groves gloated and whined and cried after the first fight and he lost. "All he's done is beat a decent british fighter".....are you kidding me? And who's talking about the Hall? Degale is a fraud and has no business being in a mandatory position anymore then Chavez does. Chavez has not even fought at 168. I'd rather see Froch unify but you are correct, he sees the sun coming over the hill so I hope he cashes out. He's worked his ass off for it, has ducked nobody and fought the best in the division. Not much more to ask of the guy. He does deserve an optional and does not have to say anything and the Ibf makes exceptions for unification's even when a mandatory is due.

Many have gone to mandatory without fighting anyone.. It's nothing new..it usually depends on who you are and who you are connected too

DeGale got mandatory because he switched over to Eddie Hearn whose love in with the IBF allowed him to position DeGale anyway he wanted, as long as the outcome produced money. Big Mick, DeGale's former promoter, had been trying for ages to get DeGale a shot at Bika but was forced to toil away on 'silver title' defences. I don't blame DeGale for changing promoters, he's gone from fighting in shopping centers to fighting at Wembley.

Yes because historically, gloating/shit talking has ruined fighters. One only needs to look to Muhammad Ali and Floyd Mayweather to see that.

Truth be told, I have become more of a fan of groves in these losses than froch in these wins. Groves could do some work if he learned to relax and stopped gassing himself out with tension and controlled his breathing.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

I get it now "earned" loosely translates to given in this era. So Chavez earned his mandatory spots and Adamu earned his shot etcetera. It all makes sense when you simply redefine words.

Froch is the second best super middleweight in the world.
