James Toney, 44-0, was ranked number 2 P4P at the time Jones fought him. Jones was ranked number 3. Toney entered as a slight fav.

This single win is far more impressive then any Floyd has.
There wasn't a James Toney in floyds division just like there wasn't a diego corrales etc in Roys division.

    I love Roy.
But for longevity floyd has the better style..

Floyd could have fought Manny, JMM at the weight contracted, Hatton at light welter, Casamajor and Freitas. He also retired for a couple of years and he never fought abroad.

His biggest achievement is going up at light middle and beating Oscar and Canelo because that is his unnatural weight.

Why is it Floyd's fault those fights never happened? Other than the JMM one of course... do you REALLY think coming in on weight would have made a difference in the outcome?

The Ricky Hatton one always makes me laugh too, considering that Floyd isn't even a true WW anyway.
I've heard of weight cutting weakening fighters, but I've never heard the excuse that not having to cut weight weakened a fighter lol

Floyd haters will always go above and beyond the realms of logic.

If Floyd was not a true welter then why did he fight Hatton at welterweight? Floyd was a true welterweight that is the answer.

Why do you get hurt when people critique Floyds resume?

Even if almost everyone here thinks Margarito is shit when Floyd was offered 8 million to fight him (Floyd denied it) he was the most dangerous fighter in the division. That would have been a career high purse for him so it doesn't make much sense

Floyd got $8 million for fighting Baldimor who was the lineal welterweight champion at the time and Floyd was getting away from Arum. So I understand why Floyd would do what he did but never understood why he fought Judah who had already lost to Baldimor when he could have fought someone like Margarito or even Paul Williams.

I don't get hurt. If someone says something stupid, I refute it.

When people say that Hatton was somehow diminished or not at his best because they fought at 147 instead of 140, that's stupid. It's completely idiotic when you put it up against common boxing knowledge.

And as far as Floyd being a true WW, that simply isn't true. He's a true WW in the sense that he is naturally 147, but that's not how boxing works due to weight cutting. A true WW is not a 147lb guy. A true WW is around or exceeding 160lbs. This has been shown with basically every "same day weight" statistic that HBO or another network has shown. Floyd is routinely out-weighed by upwards of 10lbs pretty much every time he fights.

He was outweighed by Ricky Hatton on fight day as well.

Stop being a smart ass. Hatton really struggled at welterweight when he fought there before his fight with Floyd. Hatton best weight was light welter, he was the undisputed champion at the weight. If Floyd was not a welterweight then he would have fought him at light welter.

Hatton had ample chances to fight Mayweather at 140...plus...Ricky is a bigger man than Floyd...so the WW excuse doesn't work.

It wouldn't make much difference now.

Edit: I think Lara would get him more credit at this stage.

You are right forgot that omission in Floyds career as Kostya Tszyu was clearly the man not Gatti. Remember Floyd blubbering like a little girl when he beat Arturo which was over the top from him.

Is Floyd in a relationship with Justin Bieber?

They call those kind of relationships between a middle-aged man and a teen aged boy pederasty. Here's Floyd and Bieber before his last fight getting massaged together:
