Pro boxing was a more honest sport when the mob ran it during the 20s-50s than these clowns running it today, that's a pretty sad thought.

The agenda:
-Standarization of instant replay procedures and guidelines
- Standardizing anti-doping testing protocols and substances
- PED testing
- General policies for world title unifications
- Glove brands certification
- Weigh-in monitoring (30 day, 7 day, day before and day of (to monitor gained weight)
- Establishing programs based on nutrition to educate trainers and boxers
- Standardizing division names
- Reciprocity on suspensions
- Joining forces on retired fighters’ aid and funds
- Joint force to address AIBA’s monopolistic attempts.
- Proposal of a tournament between champions to determine a sole world champion.
How long is this meeting?
Most likely country-specific athletics boards, and most powerful the USA Athletics board and congress, has asked them to think very seriously about this flap doodle.
Right now, having any or the other title is meaningless. Who gives a fuck about the WBO belt when you have the IBF and WBA? Who gives a fuck about the WBC when you have the IBF and WBO straps? See the picture? Throw in there the Ring title, and one can see how potential revenue is being lost on good fighters being relegated to non descript positions.
When the belts are fragmented like this, then it should be automatic that one champ fights the other champ. AUTOMATIC.

I think the alphabet boy syndicates are slowly coming to the realization that they are on borrowed time and are largely viewed as irrelevant. We really don't "need" some tournament charade for the fans to tell us who is actually "the man" to beat in at least half the divisions as it is. I can't see any substantive move as far as the standardizations put forth without State commissions and boards conducting themselves in the same way. This is just letting the clowns run the operations of the circus. Hell, we have a couple States who have to actually 'borrow' commissions right now. The absolute first thing they need to do is encourage and abide by a unified champion and not roadblock it with obscure manufactured mandatories simply to collect sanctioning fees.

.... and, with sanctioning fees for each organization, it can become costly for fighters and promoters to keep more than one belt. Why would I pay sanctioning fees to two orgs when I am only going to fight one guy? lolololol...
