Cool...
Dublin is far from my favourite city in Ireland.
But it's the capital, it's big and enjoys a great nightlife.
October is a quiet month. There are a lot of festivals throughout the summer; but October is quiet as Halloween is coming up.
Right at the start of the month the "Tough Mudder" adventure race is taking place, just outside Dublin in Kildare.
The National U-22 boxing championships will be on in the National Stadium in the middle of the month.
Dublin is a hive of activity and every weekend will bring something new.
As regards nightlife; Templebar is the centre of activity. And it is good. Its thronged with tourists, locals and parties. But its crazy expensive man. Way Way overpriced for what it is.
Lillies Bordello is one of the "it" places. I went there and harted it. Copper face Jacks is a must visit. It just typifies Irish people... quite humorous.
There are tons of nightclubs dotted around the city, hundreds of bars too.
The autumn internationals will be on for the national rugby squad. These scheduled 3/4 games are great to watch live or in a pub... Theyre fun either way.
You staying for long and planning on travelling much?

Very cool man.
Unfortunately we are only staying for two days, then hopping on a plane and visiting a few other European countries to get a "taste" of Europe.
We have a B&B booked right by O'Connell street so I'm looking forward to just walking around and touring.
We're from Newfoundland, Canada just across the pond, which is pretty much all Irish. Hopefully next summer I'd like to get back and do a proper tour across Ireland to get a real feel for it. But for now, it's just a taste.
