New card announcement: Aug. 9 at the Barclays Center, unbeaten unified champion Danny Swift Garcia will meet Rod Salka, IBF champion Lamont Peterson who will face Edgar Santana and Brooklyn’s own Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs will challenge Jarrod Fletcher for the vacant WBA World Middleweight Championship.

the new card is terrible. garcia needs to be fighting a better fighter and lamont and jacobs definitely dont fit the title of a "stacked" card as oscar put it. maybe if they were both fighting better competition. this card is terrible. lets hope that this first one without schaffer is just a fluke and that oscar will learn better next time.

the problem with that is that peterson isnt some up and coming guy that will become the next big thing like garcia. although garcia didnt look great in his last fight, he is still undefeated and has some solid wins to line him up for a big money fight down the line. peterson is what he is. we have seen that he is a pretty good fighter and that is it. he doesnt have the skills to be elite. so trying to set up an eventual fight between the two is a waste of time.
