Welcome aboard Billy. Some clarification is once again needed here. I'm not sure why some of these urban legends continue but I suppose its just like the pregnant women who stands a car on its end to save someone or the girl who gets caught at her own house having her dog go down on her for a lick of peanut butter with a surprise party hidden in the wings.

The guy was the man at 168 for ten years and defended his title 21 times. What more could he have done? Glen Johnson? Please. Johnson offered to to come down to 168 but there was nothing in it for Joe whether they were considering it our not and then later decided against it. Had Joe whooped him, he then would have been chastised for fighting a skeleton. Jeff Lacy syndrome. Prior to the fight Jeff was going to bust him up but after not winning a round against Joe he was a bum. Good ole ref protected Sven Ottke was offered a million bucks to fight Joe and turned in down because they claimed that they could make more money somewhere else and that was a crock.

Joe had close to a 95% ko ratio prior to wrecking his hands right around the time of the Shieka. He wrecked his hands because he punched so hard so after that he adjusted his punch selection and the when and how he delivered them and he still managed to stop several fighters. He ruined Lacy and most likely Kessler mentally who like Lacy before him was hyped to be some unstoppable force. If Joe had been from Chicago, there would be a 10 foot gold coloured statue in front of city hall.

Its all a marketing ploy. They obviously want to sign Eubank Jr and are setting up a name opponent because there is no way Rhodes stands a chance against Eubank. Its at a weight he hasn't fought at before and he's done anyway and retired, what? Two years ago?

Then theres, he wasn't that great anyway!

    Its all orchestrated by Hearn.
