I was thinking that aswell... bit dodgy of him to keep going up to the players and just be a git ..Bad sportsmanship for sure but it seems to have worked(although I think the regular goalie would have definently saved the first missed one from costa rica) ...
read on the internets today that when a penalty in a shootout is one that would end the shootout in victory then they are scored 92%(or somewhere around there) of the time, the average penalty scoring rate is around 75%.. When the penalty is one that would result in the team losing the shootout(like the last costa rican one today) they are only scored about 35% of the time.. I thought that was fairly interesting.. This is just a statistic from world cup penalties though
