Default Tyson Fury - Cunt or clever...?

Gotta say I laughed watching him at Mondays press conference... he should have been more mindfull that kids were there tbh but he knows how to drum up interest and sell a fight to the man in the street.

Loads of my mates have been discussing it on facebook etc this week and are gonna watch just to see if Del Boy can shut his mouth up.

    Thoughts?

A bit of both. Dont think he sells fights though as there isnt that much interest in this. Haye sold the Haye v Fury fight. General public just dont seem interested in this to me.

they aren't as interested that's for sure

haye is massive to the non boxing fan

fury is a clever cunt in some ways, but basically he is just being a total nob to try and get people to tune in

haye was often a nob but with a lot more charm

Hey man, I'm interested, the Brit heavyweights are always good for a laugh.
Inside the ring they're all business, but outside the ring it's like a soap opera, and entirely enjoyable to me.
Fury is a large part of that and I hope he has long and prosperous run. I don't think he will make it to the top but who knows.

I mean its not gonna generate the interest in the guys that dont usually watch boxing the way Froch Groves did or certain fighters like Haye can.

So far they've not sold half the venue out even though Warren has added a million undercard fights and they've done a million press conferences. (some idiots on here thought Fury sold the Haye fight )

I think the general fan views Fury as nothing but a clown and Chisora - who according to him "made" BoxNation - has zero fans.

Personally I think it's a good rematch. I'll be watching.

Yea dead on. Ill enjoy the fight and the card. Heffron v Williams should be a cracker. Williams looks a good prospect and this is a good test. But Fury aint a seller like people think. It doesnt mean he wont go onto sell tickets but I think hell need to win a world title before shows he headline sellout big venues.

He's clever .....until he gets his ass beat. Not saying Del Boy is gonna be the one to do it, but very soon he'll catch some knowledge

Great title by the way. he certainly ain't clever, but although he's a cunt, he is a very funny, watchable cunt! I watched the press conference on you tube and to be fair, what the fuck are women and children doing at a press conference to promote a fight on cable tv after the watershed?
I thought the journalist was a bit of a prick really. no good preaching morals at a press conference for a fight and in that respect, Fury was right, if they don't like it , fuck off.
If Frank Warren, or the BBBoC want to have a word in his shell like , that's a different story.
I love watching and Listening to Fury, I think he is completely hilarious.
As a Boxer , I have to say I reckon Fury isn't that great , but he's better than Chisora who is crap! Fury will get found out, but not in this fight.
Until he does get found , we should just enjoy his comedy gold!

He's Britain's version of Ricardo Mayorga a little. I was going to say Hamed but I think Mayorga is a more accurate comparison. Mayorga would do crazy shit like bring in golden chickens, smoke cigarettes walking to the ring, and I think he was recorded eating something while on the scale at a weigh in too. Fury flips tables over, sings before his fights in the center of the ring, swears at little kids, etc... They both do crazy shit and it's because, after all, they're not all that great in the ring. It's actually pretty impressive to be able to reach stardom doing something that you're really only slightly above average at ( at its highest level). I imagine Fury's career will go the route of Mayorga's. Mayorga was once quoted as saying something like " I would be fighting anyway, on the streets and in the bars of Nicaragua, I might as well get paid for it." How can you tune that out as a fan? The act ultimately catches up with itself though. I think it's pretty clever though at its peak.

Class act not he may make whitey and funny comments, never heard Henry Cooper talk or act in
this manner , so is all this shit turning boxing into a gutter sport.
That is why the likes of Fury should take a leaf out of Ricky Burns book,! Ricky is a class act you
don't have to act like a A hole to be a fighter.!
In todays game it seems to be part and parcel, pity it's the fight I want not the .
