What a shot.
Quite a few instances in the last year I've noticed of the ref jumping in to give a standing 8 count. Have the rules actually changed? They just willfully ignoring them? Or are they allowed in European title bouts?

Cracking shot. Ref made a balls of it. What was he doing.
lmao wank Jr
Billy Joe is a great egg.
Ok, as Bunce just said it wasn't a standing 8 he was trying to give, but was counting as a knockdown as the ropes kept him up. So my question doesn't relate here.

When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
Charley Burley
Every decent coach he has sparred in front of, whether its bulling Froch back in front of McCracken or out boxing and dropping Groves in front of Booth or doing all these things in front of Eubank Sr old coach Davies they will all tell you the same thing, that Eubank Jr is the real deal!
Look at their respective fights v Pryce. Eubank did what he pleased and hurt him a few times. Saunders struggled to make a dent.
Whats your point? Saunders won comfortably and won every round. Hes not a big puncher it soesnt really mean anything? Its like comparing Mannys destruction of Cotto or Hatton to Mayweather and claiming Pac is better because of that.
Chris Eubank Jr may be the real deal but I dont think we can know. Hes fighting guys who cant throw back and even if they do they have no punch power. Sparring is a different game to an actual boxing match too. I think he looks a terrific prospect and probably is a better fighter than Saunders but I wouldnt be putting him in with him next. Id take the winner of O Sullivan v Fitzgerald if I was his team. Both durable and will fight back but very limited.
What weight was Eubank last night? Was he over the middleweight limit? I think he comes in over in most of his fights?
I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice this. He came in at 11 stone 9 lbs, 3lbs over. And he looked ripped on the scales, not carrying any excess. Eubank needs a step up in quality, a 6 to 8 week camp focussing on someone , not somebody at a weeks notice, and he needs to hit the weight. Once he does this , and I'm not saying he can't , then we'll know more about what he can achieve in the game.
