If ya'll got the style people want tosee, it would be reflected in the marketplace.

A mexican isn't the biggest draw in boxing.

I don't see JMM cashing any huge checks.

The biggest name in mexican boxing today ....Canelo...sold only $350,000 ppv buys against another Mexican.

    Those are Mayweather /Baldomir numbers.

Still waiting on the numbers from the Lara fight.

350k is a truly spectacular number. De La Hoya only sold 200k his first ppv.

    So,Mayweather /Baldomir did spectactular numbers??

    Hmmm

That's the first time I heard that..

350,000 are shit numbers for a fighter with a built in fanbase.

Still waiting on those Lara fight numbers...

Name one other non heavyweight guy who broke more than 200k the first time he headlined a PPV. You can't. And Alvarez did 350k.

Those are shit numbers for mexico's biggest star...considering they have the style people want to see.

I see those Floyd/Baldomir numbers in a new light.

That was his first PPV and he did better than Oscar's first PPV...without a mexican opponent.

The Lara fight must have bombed because those numbers are kinda' slow getting out.

I'm in no way agreeing with Cyclone. But you can't compare PPV numbers from then to now. PPV availability has jumped astronomically.

It's maybe doubled in household numbers since DLHstarted PPVing. But the context of the discussion is just pure numbers. 350k as a debut, especially on Showtime which has 60% of the households that HBO has is a serious number.
