Harvey Dock screws Mike Perez

Perez has more than a problem with the breakfast buffet. He literally looked aimless on top of physically lethargic and at times pretty uncoordinated. He mauled, hugged and fouled and half the time Jennings was fending off a wet blanket. Jennings rarely was able to get distance but when managed he was showing solid combinations and snapping Perez engine block of a head around. He def needs to sit down on that jab more and less pawing it, I don't think this one was a clear negative indicator against Jennings or what he isn't, but def more on what Perez is not and is unwilling or able to be. I still think Jennings does very well vs a Wilder and guys who come traditional stand up clean boxing for boxing, not that smother spoil blow kisses and phone it in garbage.

Wilder takes him out IMO.

Perez is behaving like Oldaner Solis, another fat, lazy, talented Cuban.

Perez looked better than Jennings in spots, and I agreed with the announcers, he looked like a different fighter in the second half of the fight than he was in the first half of the fight. Jennings also looked good in spots last night too. How about Povetkin - Jennings?

Rat, IMO Povetkin would rip Jennings a new a-hole. Jennings is a gangly, spidery type of guy with not much power. He was not exactly breathing easy at the end last night. He has great reach and knows how to use it close in and that's unusual, but aside from The Rebel, I don't think he has ever been tested. Not impressed at all. Stiverne would KO him. Not as convinced about Wilder because he never has been tested and if Jennings takes him into the late rounds, I think its bye bye for Wilder. IF.

Yea cant see Jennings lasting with Wilder. Looked very average last night to me against a good fighter but a lazy fighter who looked very tired in the 2nd half of the fight. Id say Wilder would get Jennings out of there in the 1st half of the fight. Stiverne would be a more interesting fight but I think Stiverne would stop him late.

Who said he'd box? Wilder hasn't shown at all he can maintain reach off the jab he has shown, nor the balance and has yet to be significantly countered with even a so so punch We're talking about a guy who has. not. gone. beyond 4 rounds..ever! Wilder is banking everything he has on bombing guys out in first couple rounds and I think he has cocooned himself into a false confidence that is going to blow up in his face. Well Jackson was Jackson, a cut above all mentioned. I rank his one & done power as some of the best the sport has seen and Wilders by almost design and fully expected.

I can't see Jennings taking a few shots and proving he can come back to win on a higher level as a negative while also giving a pass to Wilder who has not proven anything of the sort, not faced counters and only blitzed those he was fully expected to. Jennings can put his shots together and power can be overstated and intoxicating. You and I can list phone books on previous undefeated who came in on hyped power #'s and crumbled when guys boxed better and punched back. Morrison, Briggs, Stewart, Tshabalalawhatever his name was. Some power is really only as proven and as good as those you ko with it. I think anyway.

It looked to me that the ref was breaking them because of the use of the head, then when the punch followed I think the ref had had enough of the rough housing

Yeah punch was on its way imo at the exact same time. Maybe I can find a slow gif and he was going forward but Jennings was on the ropes which stopped his momentum but not Mikes. Mike underachieved again just like @Fenster said he would and appears to have a fuel issue and should have never found himself in a position of a point making the difference. I just think it stinks a little because that point gave him an L rather then a draw.

Nah I dont see it that way as stated above but its all good.

Mike sucked the other night. He was a lazy bstard in the ring and didn't deserve a decision. The fact the the took a point means nothing to the overall fight. Mike lost. His trainer should have told him that ever punch landed would get him a cheeseburger. Might have got some motivation out of his lazy ass then.

That's a bet I hope we get the opportunity to make. Ha, Solis! I started seeing shadows of the comeback version..the one who fought Chambers..of Sam Peter in the second half of the fight. Just blahh.
