I think Maidana has well eclipsed that one, while frankly Garcia has almost gone sideways. He beats Matthysse...much respect...then has a faded Judah out working him and closing strong at final bell. Outfoxed and guiled to Herrera and fortunate to get call...and has to be spoon fed this crap to feel impressive. Matthysse came back against a near jr middle bomber and went to hell and back for sensational ko win. Garcia has a long way to go
You are right maidana has well eclipsed that but i dont know what it says about everyone in the division because even then maidana was what top 5 to top 8 at jr welter and morales took him to hell and back, but i did have maidana winning. Then we get treated to part two of this shitfest when broner and matthyse face nobodies here in a month

Danny Jacobs made everyone feel good when he beat Jarrod Fletcher and Danny Garcia did what was expected when he obliterated prohibitive underdog Rod Salka, but in between, another NYC butchering took place.
To his credit, announcer Al Bernstein was the only Showtime Team member to comment that maybe they ought to start thinking about stopping the fight. The doctor must have read his mind because he immediately shouted to the recalcitrant Santiago to do just that. Santiago should have done it earlier, but this begs the question, what was Santana’s corner doing?
