It's not happening. He's semi-retired until his situation with Dan Goosen is worked out and so far he's lost in court from what I understand.
Wow. So good talent like that is going to just sit around? Reminds me of when Mayweather retired for a bit.
Why don't these promoters just don't let their talent go if that's the case. These iron clad contracts on fighters seems criminal and against the laws of decency.
Seems like slavery!

Ward should just fight and keep busy as he is wasting his career away.

I like Ward as a person and he always comes across well but for me he's the architect of his own undoing. He can say all he wants about wanting to do right by his mate but the guy has made multiple attempts to get out of his contract with Goosen and for multiple reasons.
Apparently anything past or ongoing with Goosen shouldnt prevent Ward from fighting right now but realistically it is, of course it is.
Ward could get out of his contract with Goosen tomorrow. The same people willing or unwilling to fight him are going to be equally willing or unwilling to fight him. With Goosen, without, people will be equally as interested (or not) in watching him fight. He won't become a 20 million dollar purse guy by not being with Goosen.

He's trying to get out of his contract and also making representations to the authorities alledging multiple violations of the Muhammad Ali Act and saying Goosen should be facing a criminal investigation and at the same time he's also asking Goosen to make fights for him. He's already lost in court so it would appear he's being badly advised.

I don't fault Goosen. You sign a contract willingly, and that's your word. That's binding. So Ward needs to either deliver on his side of the bargain or negotiate a buy-out of his contract like Floyd did. That's what's up.

According to that thing Freedom posted Ward has a new lawyer and the latest allegations are provable bs. Ward seems to have some kind of obsession with Goosen and getting out of his contract and he's listening to anybody who claims he can do it. If what Goosen is saying is true this is not going to end well for Ward.
