I havent seen the fight yet but he was floored in the 1st round twice and then won every other round on all cards and floored him in round 8 so I would have thought he got caught cold and maybe didnt think his opponent could hurt him.

Lara gave him a boxing lesson and landed a lot of hard shots so he probably just isnt good enough for the top

Could be his fight vs. Cotto was a fluke. But then again the Aussie was a bomber... I wanna see Dawson again. lololol...

As for Trout, he won every other round convincingly. The knockdowns weren't that bad. The first one was when he was going backwards and got caught in a stumble, and the next one was on the neck sorta like a push. It wasn't as if he was wobbly or he was walking around out on his feet... but a knock down is a knock down.

Blame it to the lay off.

Trout was down twice in the third, everything else is correct.
Trout actually has Dawson outclassed in boxing skills, but I'm starting to wonder about his focus and confidence. We know his chin is not the best.
I think Trout was expecting an easy fight after the first two rounds, anyway after the third Trout was totally focused and gave Dawson a boxing lesson.
Don't see Dawson going very far, he has a right hand but not much else. I see Cotto pulverizing Dawson.
