Why do the heavyweights keep cancelling/postponing their fights?

Scared of getting knocked the fuck out. As the weights go higher and higher, you see the proliferation of fight postponement. The power, the power.

People say Heavyweights aren't skilled and thus they have to put in a p4p. But, I think heavies are the most technically skilled- at the high level- than all of the other weights.

When one punch can change the fight... not a one punch and then a barrage... but one punch, from any heavy in the top ten- and not just one or two guys in the division- then you have to be skilled, have concentration and the mental fortitude to stick it out.

Yea... there may only be 10 punches thrown a round. But if 5 of those are murderous, with you lulled to sleep by inaction, then by goodness you had better know what's what.

I would much rather fight at a lower weight, roll the dice, than to fight in the heavies. You have to know your stuff.

It's like a highly technical job, like nuclear disaster clean up. Yes, it is a necessary job. But, how often does it happen? But, when it does, you have to know what the fuck it is you're doing- thus the danger of the heavyweight division.

Just can't agree with you about the high level heavies being better technically than other boxers that are at a high level in their weights.
I can't see it, myself.
The heavies do have more punching power, but the lower weights all have heavy hitters that can end a fight with one punch.

I imagine heavyweights are more prone to injuries....more force going through the hand and arm joints, greater weight being distributed through the ankles.
