I'll concede that the broadcast journalist was completely unprofessional in his choice of words.

A journalist can address the touchy subjects and is supposed to, but style, man, style!
    The best always have style.
Decorum. And they do some research on their guest, know a bit about that person's personalty and how they may react to different approaches, so the journalist is supposed to know how to proceed with different guests.

This reporter Nathan Downer is a total jack-off....

It was just 4 years ago, I think 2009, that Mike Tyson beat up the 7 prostitutes in his motel room after shooting up the morphine. He had the coke, the cialis, the mary-jane, the Hennessy, and dude flips out and starts punching out whores!

    This ain't ancient history.

Ray Rice does a 1 punch KO of a woman on video, and so many folks are outraged, but Tyson talks about punching out 7 women and all is forgiven...

    Thumbs down...
That's cuz he ordered 8 whores. Not 7. 8. How hard can that shit be to order? The fuck up, fucked everything up. The actvities he had planned called for the whores to be paired in 2. But since he got 7 whores instead of 8, one of the whores was forced to preceed without a partner. Who wouldn't be mad in that situation?

Everything you wrote is correct, I know you are a Tyson fan as well, so you accept that behaviour from him is uncalled for. Tyson needs to show restraint. His past is something that he will have to live with and people will bring it up.Tyson has to learn to handle provocative questions, even if they are from people deliberately trying to get a reaction from him.

I understand his frustration... It was 20 years ago and even if you don't think it was doubtful that he did it - he was judged and punished in a court of law... He served his time.

In a way Tyson should and probably could hold back, but on the other hand, I like that the punk rocker in him will unleash itself when affronted.

The thing about pressing/tough questions... there's a time and place for them. If dude had Ray Rice on the show, OF COURSE he's going to ask tough questions about the assault. If he had Rob Ford himself on the show, OF COURSE he's going to ask tough questions about the many scandals Ford has had over the last few years, because it's relevant information with Ford running for mayor again.

Why ask tough questions about a crime that Tyson was tried, convicted and served his time for over 20 years ago? There's no new information or perspective to gain from it. There's no real reason to even talk about it other than to rile Tyson up. It was a personal shot that was poorly disguised as a legitimate question (something Mike picked up on right away), Mike has a history of going on shows and having people try to rile him up or embarrass him and he got sick of it.

In the end, Tyson comes out the winner because it's great publicity for his show. You can't let smug assholes take the piss out of you like that, best to just blow up their show like Mike did.

It was wrong for Tyson to say what he said but it sure felt good watching the presenter squirm and look embarrassed. I am sure he will never push it again.

I think he has to try and look good out of it when in reality I think he may have shit his pants. If he was really a martyr he would have stopped the interview then and there. He look shit scared.

Why do we have to look at these issues in mono-rail views? Because we see one side, or one facet, of an issue differently means we accept or condone the others? C'mon...
