He definately looked worn out just like in their first fight, probably because of age.

If people complained about this last performance with all the clinching and pot shots, we'll be in for much of the same stuff in his next two fights, though I'm sure he can still outbox less awkward fighters with ease. It's just Maidana's (or any strong fighter's) rough play that seems to be too hard to handle at this stage.

Maidana was able to hustle floyd and hit him for the simple reason he has a fantastic chin.
Not sure PAC can rush in and not get countered , let us not forget PAC doesn't like slick counter punchers , and he is unlikely to rush in to take a shot to land a shot , like maidana did.
Let's make the fight and see what happens.

When you compare their faces after the fight it would appear Maidana was a clear winner. Floyd was marked up and looked his age. Good result considering the margin he won by but by his own standards it wasn't impressive. Caught by jabs hit regularly and was physically damaged after boxing on the backfoot all night. maidana came forward but wasn't a mark on him

Floyd could learn a thing or two from Hopkins on how not to get hit and evolve his style to suit his age. Two fights left for Floyd and he needs to carry on cherry picking cuz if he picks the wrong fight he could lose

    Two fights.

Name the two most dangerous realistic opponents that could beat Floyd.

There was Canelo and that turned in to a master class by floyd.

To me, Floyd could bypass one of those two fights and just fight Manny and retire.

Really, no one else would or could do. No one else can give him a fight.

Khan may get one of these last two fights by default... that is all.

Floyd's realistic opponents, at Welter or Jr. Middle. Not in any particular order.

    1. Manny Pacquiao. (the only fight real and casual fans want to see)

    2. Timothy Bradley. (could be an interesting match up, seeing who's skill for skill... Floyd would win handily)

    3. Amir Khan. (Khan is damaged goods, really. KO losses primarily. But, he was robbed by Peterson. And, even though he was robbed by Peterson, when you look at Khan's fights, he very rarely loses rounds. In fact, when you take the KO rounds and the Peterson fight out of the equation, Khan wins almost all of the rounds in his fights... convincingly.)

    4. Kell Brook. (Brook has made a good case for him getting a good fight with Mayweather since his clear victory vs. Porter. Made Porter look like a wild swinging brawler. Good skill sets from Brook and it wouldn't be unlikely for a fight to be made... a long shot... but a fight could be made.)

    5. Demetrius Andrade. (the longest shot on this list, by far. But, like Khan, a fight can and may be made by default. Everyone else either being busy or the numbers just may not add up to make it any better than fighting Andrade. If Floyd wants to unify the titles at Jr. Middle, he can go this route and do so with ease!)

Floyd may ultimately go the route of title unification for his last two fights. Carlos Molina and Demetrius Andrade are more than beatable. He may be able to beat both of them on the same night.

Could unification be on Floyd's mind as a coup-de-gras on his final exit from the sport?

They have to be big name money making fights which only means Khan and Pacquiao.

Floyd wins both. They may be close but not really competative, like Maidana.

Don't get wrong I think Floyd's top dog still but the gap has closed and I'd give anyone below a chance

    At 147

Pacquiao - past his best too but he's always been a threat to floyd

Khan- as much as I hate to say it khans fast hands and quick feet could cause floyd trouble and khans dodgy chin won't be a factor cuz floyd can't punch for shit

Garcia- better timing than maidana and always finds a way to win

Thurman - better schooled than maidana and faster

Bradley - could match floyd in afew areas these days

    At 154

Lara- just as quick, but legs aren't as old as Floyd's and can match him for power

Cotto - since they first met Floyd's got worse and cottos got better so evens it out abit

Golovkin - floyd fought Oscar and Cotto at 154 so why not. He only made canelo drain cuz it was a risky fight
