It will be for Chagaev's WBA "regular" title.
The WBA has ordered negotiations to begin. What's your prediction?

Ortiz might stop him.
That'd be my guess.
But it could go either way.
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
I don't think Chagaev has much left, wheras Ortiz looks to have good hands and power. He's still never fought anyone very good, but I don't know if it's the kind of step up it would have been a few years ago and wouldn't be surprised to see him win early.
This will be a proof positive test for Ortiz. Should he be in serious discussion for a shot at Wlad or Stiverne, or will he just be another guy that other guys step over?
We will have to see. For Ruslan, he may lobby for another shot against Wlad. But I don't see it going any different than it did the first time.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

I think Ortiz will win easily, Chagaev is fat and faded.
Then we'll see a more interesting fight: Ortiz vs. Klitschko.
Steve Bunce's favourite fighter,Chagaev past his best and at his best he was not that good.
A half retired Oquendo made Chagaev look like a lethargic circus bear and all but gave a win away. Will Chagaev have the President of Grozny working his corner againI can't see him hanging with Ortiz.
Definitely cheering on Ortiz for this one. Real nice guy.
What has Ortiz done to deserve this?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
What did Chagaev or Oquendo do to be fighting for the title in the first place? What has Wilder done to be fighting Stiverne, what did Stiverne do, who cares, it's not a strong division. This is a decent matchup that might tell us whether Ortiz has a chance against Wlad and make that fight possible.
Lol not an attack at all, I just type aggressively at times sir. My point was aside from Wlad, nobody is a standout at HW so they may as well fast track anyone with promise. I'd like to see Ortiz win this and then fight the winner of Wilder-Stiverne to produce a legitimate challenger to Klitschko, who is getting old without anyone worthy to fight.
Hopefully Chagaev comes in at a reasonable weight. If he comes in bloated, like his last few fights...Ortiz stops him with ease.
My prediction?
One of them pulls out with an injury.... or fight negotiations get bogged down with unreasonable demands. Then they both go on Twitter about how they would've trashed the other guy.... and just wait until my hand/head/foot/back heals.
After all..... this IS the heavyweight division.
P.S. - If the fight somehow does come off..... Ortiz wins.
I"ll back Ortiz also but I think he has a tougher time than most here do![]()
