Default GGG is a smart fighter

one thing that i think that is usually failed to be mentioned about ggg is that he is very cautious about getting hit. i dont think that its because he has a bad chin, but that he is smart. he never mixes it up wildly just letting punches go. in other words, he doesnt use the tactic "you hit me and i hit you back harder." he sets up his flurries so that he gets off first and will land at a much higher rate.

he is just known as a brawler but that doesnt really give justice to what he really is. i more consider him as a joe louis type fighter. he sets up his punches, then once he gets on the inside, he finishes you off. the more i see him fight, the more i realize that he is the real deal. he has been too dominant for it to be a fluke.

He needs a real test with guys like Cotto, Ward, Canelo, Martinez and even Chavez Jr.

Haha. Yeah. Those guys won't get near him, except for Ward n he isn't fighting. GGG KILLS everyone on ur list except Ward. None of those guys even mention him. Say what u want, Geale, Stevensand Rubio were solid fighters and tests and he destroyed them.

GGG is a great champ with amateur pedigree and solid skills. He is very effective at parrying and slipping and uses his jab well to set up his shots. He is also one of the best at cutting the ring off and destroying the body.

if you saw the stevens fight, he just broke him down during the fight. he wasnt going to chance getting hit by a huge shot. although ggg probably would have still won by just plowing forward, he knew that stevens had the power to hurt him so he just broke him down.

this is why nobody wants to get near him. he isnt just some brawler who gets outboxed. he is a smart fighter that will wear you down and cut off the ring.

GGG is quality and everything he does is instinctively brilliant. He is a killer in that ring.

I can't believe anyone ever called him a brawler so why mention that he isn't? It's trying to defeat an argument that was never made and comes off sad and desperate. I don't think there is anyone that doesn't think he's good. Just some of us that said he was good long before the bandwagon want to see him fight opponents at his level.

    Calm down. It's alright.

I was saying that the media as well as himself uses the term Mexican style while in reality that's not what it really is. I've never heard anybody say that ggg was a good defensive fighter like I am saying.
