If he is doing that on his own, I can't respect that. If there is already a match made and he is doing it to sell the fight, that's boxing.

If he can't even keep his cool in a restaurant, how is he supposed to do it in the ring? Idiot. Klitchsko could make faces at him for 4 rounds and Briggs would get himself so worked up he'd probably pass out from hyperventilating by round 5

Briggs should do his talking in the ring not outside with hype. Haye was shown up for that.

If Wlad hands this walking buffoon a paycheck It'll be one of the biggest orchestrated con jobs on fans in decades.

Wlad would not do it, he never fought Holyfield because he was past it, and Wlad will not do it to Briggs.

But even a shot up Holyfield brought more to the table at the end than Briggs. Like to think Wlad had respect for Holy, where in a Briggs 'comeback' farce he'd be disrespecting fans.

I give Briggs as good a chance of winning as most of Clits recent opponents. If the fights in NY they may even get an impartial ref who may call fouls. Who knows what could happen if Vlad isn't allowed to bed his opposition all night...

    Fake or not fake!

Hype job or no hype job!

I want to see this fight!

Briggs has always been one of my favorite HWs and he has been inactive yes but he can't be any worse now in his early 40s as some of the fight dodging 25 year olds we have out there now!

I don't see wilder or Fury trying anything for a fight with Wlad & those 2 are much more likely to get it.

I don't care about how it happens I'm just glad it might happen!

I agree, briggs is no worse than these chumps ole klit has been fighting!!! if anything it will be more exciting. but of course klit will hug, smother and lay on briggs all night, IF he even fights briggs, which i doubt. i think klit is scared of briggs.

And I think you are a fucking moron if you think that Shannon Briggs will be "more exciting"....the only fight worse than Wlad-Ibragimov was Briggs-Ibragimov a fight where Shannon Briggs threw around 2-4 punches PER ROUND!

IDIOT TOTAL IDIOT, there's no helping you. Shannon Briggs is 42 years old, he's not aging like wine he's aging like bread and he's faaaaaaaaar removed from being competitive at the top of the division.

    I'm not so sure.

Ok I agree that just working by logic in our heads that he appears to be far from it because he was inactive and in his 40's.

But if we can just analyse his last 3 decent level fights.

    Firstly he stopped Siarhei Liakhovich.
He then lost a fair UD to Ibragimov
Then losing to Vitali is not the worst thing.

Ok he hasn't fought anything but bums since he returned, but he does look in better shape than he looked in those 3 fights.

I am not being hasty because I like him, if he was waaay overweight and trying this I would say hang it up fella, give it a rest and move on.

But I don't think it would be like that I think he would do a half decent job against Wlad and to be honest I think he deserves it as he is probably the only real fighter left from our last decent generation of HWs.

One last push for him and then let him fade, I think for everything he has given to boxing, the excitement, the shocks, his pretty damn good fight with Foreman :P he should get this.

Hell it is the most exciting thing that has happened in HW boxing for me in a while.

Briggs has not fought a decent fighter for years.
