just caNnot see evander and smokin joe ahead of foreman and marciano. Rocky would beat frazier AND holy (Marciano would to holy what he did to ezzard) and Foreman would BLOW AWAY EVANDER IN HIS PRIME 1973.

Foreman made like, two defenses during his prime. Evander was MUCH larger than Charles and Ezzard was never the same after killing a man in the ring. That being said, both fights Charles was right there with Marciano, despite being well past his prime. Evander is probably the greatest counter punching heavy ever, even stated by Tyson, and would have chewed Marciano up. Not even worth discussing further.

Evander struggled with clever boxers or MUCH larger men who were mobile and fought tall. I think he beats a younger Foreman worse than he did the one he beat in 1992. Back on topic though and not focusing on head to head competition, I like Evander's historical wins over Bowe and Tyson, his accomplishment of being a multiple (3x) time heavyweight champ (lineal), and his quality of opposition more than what Foreman and Marciano accomplished.

Excellent points but look at how he tarnished his career by fighting way too long and losing to Larry Donald, James to ney , Sherman WMD, john Ruiz, etc. Too many losses and now look at Marciano's record.

Do we fault guys for sticking around too long now, or reward them for what they accomplished? Robinson stuck around and had some unsightly losses late in his career. Are you suggesting that Joe Calzaghe and Finito Lopez should be ranked higher historically?!?
