I didn't realise that so many Saddo members were bound by the concept of 'omerta'.

After I looked up what the word was, neither did I.

Grassing on a thieving murdering scum bag is good.
I'm with Master about pointing a finger at King being a good thing, but the way Sharpton uses racism to keep his name in the news has become transparent, predictable, and tiresome over the years.
I'm not saying Sharpton started out that way, or hasn't done good work for civil rights.
It's just that lately, anytime racism raises its ugly little head, Sharpton is there "Johnny on the spot" rabble-rousing his way into the news. He drops into these situations without all the facts and starts running his mouth, it's irresponsible and counter productive, in my opinion.

Media run to him to make the news.

I've heard liberal and conservative journalists say Sharpton does more harm than good.

I would like to know out of interest.

Lewis accused Bruno of it and it upset Frank a lot just as it did Frazier when Ali called it him.

Uncle Tom got a bad rap- and today its turned upside down...Most claim of this bad rap comes from James Baldwin- whose writing actually seemed more acceptable to whites than the author Harriet Stowe of Uncle Tom's cabin- Tom was beatan to death for not telling the whereabouts of 2 runaway slaves-females.. could James the (gay) writing negro had his own issues of the skills of that woman writer... and the way the women were portrayed? especially given that the media took more to Baldwin than ever to Harriet.

Initially the book made Tom a man whose virtues was based on christ. But by Baldwin's critique and how those critiiques were allowed to echo- Tom was turned into the opposite of what the writer made of him, but it has been awhile since I read the book so I am going from memory... Oh and I admit a bit of bias, not against gays, but I am not a fan of James Baldwin or any African-American creating strife against another successful African-American.

& Al has no church, no followers, yet the media has a microphone in his face for everything that I think causes so many European-Americans to pull their hair out over his comments...because the owners of the media know the knee-jerk reaction he causes. But that's just IMO...
