If Robin Reid and Hopkins can beat Calzaghe, Froch has a chance. Bad style for Froch, if they fought 10 times he might win 3

The only guy I see beating Cal in his prime since the division started is Roy Jones.

I think the fight would be tough for Joe like the Bika fight. Froch would have to make it rough and tough. Froch had a bomb of a right hand and that would hurt Joe. You can never say for certain Joe would win but the chances are he would win most times.

Robin reid fight was close but I feel that hopkins would have got the nod if he never mentioned the white boy comment..plus the rematch should have happened..!

Joe is a fantastic boxer but if the two andres can beat froch then I think that JC would edge it.

A prime roy jones is just fantasy but I would love to see how they would both deal with each others great boxing skills.

    No Joe would win.

Reid and Hopkins did not beat Joe.

Not James Toney? That would have been a great fight, but I'd see Calzaghe being led into right hands all night.

Not sure who this James Toney is who is always spoken of. Did he even fight at 168? Kidding. He did pick up a trinket and manged to get by Barkley and Williams but he'd be eating straight lefts from Joe and would fall apart at the seams do to activity.

While Hopkins schooled him at times, but Cal's work rate was too much and edged the fight his way.

Someone posted that JC style was unorthodox, that is how he beat Kessler and how he would've beatan Froch... and made it look easy.

The dream fight would've been a prime unorthodox RJJ vs unorthodox JC.

JC vs Froch wouldn't live up to the expectations...IMO.

Most of the fights referred to here were past Joe's prime. But either way he wins. But a past his prime Joe won't have the power to stop Froch coming forward so it will be closer.

As an aside, I often wonder how different Joe would have been as a fighter with a different trainer. I think much of his work with his dad was based on instinct rather than methodology. I think perhaps with his natural talents he could have been (even) better than he was.
