I think Arum has some dirt on him, probably in regards to PEDs. There's no other explanation why you'd stay with a guy you hired a third party to investigate because he was stealing money from you.
Don't take this as, I'm defending the guy or his culture for the life style, mistakes and sins.
Ok so My Bad, I guess it not that obvious to some and you obviously don't know philippine culture very well. He didn't abandon his wife and at least publicly reconciled his womanizing ways. It is not uncommon for successful men in the philippines to have a mistress and often the wife knows. So it's don't ask don't tell. I've heard wife's talking about the issue (trying to calm the temper) that they should be happy because she's the wife that he comes home to. That it is a mans nature and you have to let them get out there. (I don't agree, I'm just saying this is the attitude I've been exposed to there.) Many guys get together for a night out (drinking and bar girls) and don't make it home that evening. It is accepted. It dosn't mean there are not problems. It's just part of the culture. I worked in a company that had an office in the Philippines and the US divorce rate, with the married men sent there, was over 80%. If you have money, the girls are very agressive at chasing you.
People aren't perfect and typical fail at trying to be. If those ring girls were putting it in my face and telling me they wouldn't tell my wife, I doubt I could resist and for sure wouldn't want to resist if I thought, I could get away with it. He's just a freaking man, that wears his heart on his sleeve. The question is why did he say with Arum, while others as an example, left and earned more money?
You jumping to conclusions dude. We aren't talking about me. You have no clue. One way or the other. Any "man" that says he would be faithful in a situation where he is tempted by a bueatiful woman and could get away with it and wouldn't, is 999 times out of a 1000 a lier or has something else wrong him or is possibly still infatuated with his new bride.
I keep seeing all these allegations about Paquaio & Ped's. Where is any proof he has ever used Ped's. These days it seems that if there is a fighter challenging your fav fighter & you have doubts your fighter can beat him, you start Ped's rumors about him. Vicious allegations with no credible back up is wrong. Of the two I'd think Floyd would be more suspect of using than Manny though I sincerely hope neither of them are
Baseless accusations can ruin a fighters career eg Antonio Margarito. No one has ever produced proof he ever cheated but his good name was sullied
I think Manny stays with Arum because he is happy with him & the way his career is going
Cheating is bad enough but when a prof boxer beats his babies Mamma in front of his kids he really does have to be a scumbag coward
Well, of course there's no proof: someone would either have had to physically been there to see Manny using PEDs, or he would have to test positive.
The problem with that is the drug testing up until recently has been a complete joke and has generally failed to catch the majority of cheaters. I've said it before, the majority of drug users don't get caught with tests, they get caught after the fact when either someone rats them out (Lance Armstrong, numerous MLB players), or the FBI raids a steroid ring and finds their name on receipts (Holyfield, Mosley, and many many more).
So when you couple the fact that drug testing has been woefully unreliable in catching cheats, and you see a guy jump multiple weight classes and seemingly get stronger, then turn down (an estimated) 100 million dollar fight because you don't want to take a more advanced drug test, and allegedly your camp inquires a) what the penalty of a positive test would be and b) if a positive test could be kept a secret for the integrity of boxing.... I think any rational mind is going to get suspicious. None of that is proof-positive that Manny was taking PED's, but you can't blame people for being suspicious.
