Wlad - Briggs next if Wlad - Jennings don't reach agreement

I sincerely hope Wlad does not 'fight' Briggs. The division is already a spectacle and it needs to get down to sorting itself out with fighters who have careers in front of them..not collecting dust. Don't go backwards with some cartoon character who's last and only career 'win' vs. a top 10 fighter came oddly enough eight years ago today.

NOT. leapai was a joke, arreola is a glorified journeyman, pulev fought like an idiot, stiverne aint beat anyone good, neither has wilder...so yeah, briggs is as good as any of these guys. dont forget briggs lost 100 lbs and has his asthma in control now. i say briggs has a good shot for an upset. dont forget wlads weak ass chin.

Briggs is older now but he is skillful and powerful.

Honestly I am much more excited by Briggs v Klitschko than anyone else vs Klitschko.

Briggs is completely shot now, pretty much on the level of Leapai.

Steroids and experience can conpensate for some but father time has caught up with him. He has not the speed or reactions to compete with ANY top 10 HW let alone Wladimir.

On a SERIOUS note. Briggs is totally brain damaged from the beatings he has took. A fight with Wladimir will leave him either dead or in a nursing home with pugilistic dementia.

Nobody wants to see Wladimir put Briggs into disablement.

Briggs should have his license revoked and Wlad should be boycotted from ever taking this fiight!

Briggs knows there is no ranked opponent today he could beat to earn his shot, hence the theatrics.

Truth is Briggs would be clowned or KOed by any decent HW today.

Just look to his promotional video. He does not look sharp at all and has very limited fludity now.

People forget that Briggs was NEVER very good! Bottom of the best 10 of the 90's at best!

He had awful acne in one of the first 'lets go champ' videos... Seems to have cleared up now.

You won't find me defending Leapai or a Pianeta but Pulev and Arreola..who I don't think Wlad fought?..were credible top ranked guys. As much as I'd like the division turned on its head and to see this Wlad ivory tower crumble..you can't let a disfavor of someone blur Briggs into some illusion of what he is not. He's just not deserving and I've watched him from day 1. The guy has never improved, he is the same old tired script of huff & puff plodding, loading up relying on a brick and taking too many punches in the process. The guy has turned his 15 minutes in a fool length feature comic strip. Jennings is proven and I think he'd beat Briggs up. I'm glad he lost the weight and bulked up but that's like putting racing slicks and a blower on a used Volvo at this point

It was vitali who gave arreola a bit of a pounding, although I think arreola put in a better showing than briggs did.... The arreola fight really didnt need to be stopped(although if i remember right I think it was his corner who gave it up in the end)


Unfortunatley I think briggs fight is becoming the more likely of the two.. Jennings is in a good place to make some demands to strike it rich and k2 dont really like to pay their opponents a lot(although what promoter/fighter does),so I don't think negotiations will go well with jennings and k2.. add into it the poll in bild(large gerry newspaper) where 70% of people voted for a briggs fight next and there seems to be more and more people thinking briggs is a legimate opponent now.
