    Any footage?

    C'mon..spill.
Lol no I dont but two of the guys I danced with for years went on and formed another group. Two of the guys from Street Scape danced with me for years. After I left they grabbed a couple of other guys. 3 out of 4 of them are from my home city. I found some footage of just after we parted ways and they did a pretend comparison. The tall white dude started the whole thing with me and this brought back some awesome memories

I loved watching these on soul train..

    Shame that program ended..

    I loved that show

Street Scape never made it to that show as it was long finished but the Lockers were on every other week. I still use a dance studio twice a week to work out. Once you learn to lock and pop you never lose it. Like riding a bike.

I might dance for an event such as a dancing contest etc but other than that, nope, I wouldn't dance without a purpose..

I ain't gonna dance in the middle of the club or a bar looking like a fuckin dickhead loser... That always makes me laugh. I'm too cool to stoop down to that level.

My girl always bashes me for thinking this way.. She always wants to go clubbing with me and have me dance and shit but I tell her , " girl, only fags dance for attention.. I don't need all that bc my looks and swags speak for itself "... Gangsters don't dance and shit smh...

    Fuck dancing at a club..

Very well said. Too cool and wouldn't dance without a purpose sums it up well. The concept of dancing for sheer joy just seems silly whilst the dance for a purpose aspect sounds more plausible. How about I sit down with my beer quietly for the sheer joy of the peace and quiet. 'What silly talk' would be an apt response. Is jumping up and acting like a prize clown really my means of expressing my joy, my inner emancipation? People are looking at you like you are a clown because you probably do look like the class clown. Sit down, drink your drink.....and only dance for a purpose. I like that expression. I wouldn't dance at all, but if someone were to tell me, 'I have to do this dancing for a bit in order to achieve something' then I might understand it a little more. If they were to say 'I have to express my inner creative urge and realise my happiness' I would just think 'What a prat'. Good post.

People who think it is a sign of weakness or being "a fag" to dance are incredibly bigoted square individuals. There is nothing "gangsta " about adopting such a stance it is in fact quite the opposite, a sign of weakness. Professional dancers much like those engaged in martial arts are usually physically and mentally strong individuals so the fact that the pair of you are so intimidated by the thought of having to take your cardigans off is no surprise.
