Wilder showed some boxing ability, he used his jab good movement mixed in with the right hand,
Stiverne was a bit predictable slow on his feet, never used much head movement Wilder's jab
was in his face all night.
Bermane is a tough guy but he showed he's limited, as for Wilder he boxed 12 rounds which
most of us wondered could he go the distance.
The USA has a new HW how long for it's any one's guess.

There's no question Wilder probably achieved and learned more in one night than he has in his previous 32 but its another scenario where a guy jumps from the turtle pool into the ocean. You cannot learn backwards, step off the stage with that strap now and mentally he seems fully convinced he is Wlad ready while clearly in execution he is not. Nothing wrong with seeing there are things to work on. He's arrived but I think we'll see in the long run his camp did a disservice by not polishing and refining with better comp before last night. On the job learning is not something advisable against the top tier.

Meaning I don't see quality in today's HW's. The quality or type of skill that can prepare Wilder for a Wlad. Not a fact, just my opinion.

Not even Big ass Fury or if Valuev if he wasn't hiding.

An Arreola or a Sam Peter or Povetkin is good opposition and learning...But those guys have nothing to teach Wilder...what it would take to beat a Wlad.

I'm old school bro. I remember Evander fought a well schooled pro who had been in wars and started from Prison (Qawi)... in Evander's 12th fight. Shit who did Evander fight in 12 fights to prepare him for Qawi? No one which is why it was a war.

Who did Floyd fight within a 1 1/2 to prepare him for Genaro Hernandez who only lost once in a long illustrious career? No one which is why Floyd couldn't run or potshot to win he fought.

Now Wilder is not either of those two... But Wilder is in a division that is Ethiopian-skinny-hungry when it comes to talent.

Long run..a disservice? We will have to see. But since Wlad is at the end of his career, take it now. & if he wins... Then he can beat the pussy out of Haye. and the Fury outta Tyson!

I was impressed with Wilder, he answered every question of him. He got chinned and didn't fold, he went the distance without blowing up and.............he won! His finishing is woeful and needs a lot of fine tuning but other than that he did great. Hopefully he fights Fury next (assuming the Wlad fight won't happen) that would be massive.

I get it, but I think there is always something to learn in the majority of fights. When guys don't just fall over, when you cannot ko everyone and you hear the final bell. Its not about similar style for fighter A or B..its testing yourself and being forced to adjust as you step up. I don't think its a given at all that Wilder glides by a Povetkin. Holyfield was a special breed and was learning about going to war before his first professional bell with the likes of Ricky Womack, learning about officials screwing you with the Gold Bronze and biting off the most formidable guy in Qawi. As much as I liked Chicanito, god rest his soul, Floyd caught him at the tail end and perfect time. By long run I mean his learning and level comp would pay much greater dividends on this now high scale had it been invested in during those first five years of padding a ko record. Time will tell. These days it can be the Berto-ism of a guy with trikets a dime a dozen. Cakewalk to a title shot while being compared to Meldrick Taylor () but never shedding the early flaws or patching up the holes before it gets too deep and late.
