Tony Benn was a man of the people and he was pro NHS and anti immigration. Traditional left wing politics was anti-immigration. That's what is missing from politics today: left wing with some bite. If there was a left wing version of Farage, the public would likely lap it up. However, the left just won't touch immigration and so Farage is able to lap it all up all too easily. It's a shame Labour are such troll sell outs. How easy was it for them to boot out Galloway, but seemingly impossible to be rid of Blair? Sell out snakes.
Yes Labour were anti immigration, the simple facts are the workers pay into a system tax national
insurance, to fund the NHS myself and my parents have contributed over a long period of time.
The benefits are for people that are native to the country, you simple can give health care to migrants
that have paid into the system for 5 minutes.
When immigration is left unchecked as we have now, NHS is at braking point we can't house our own
never mind more immigrants, schools are full local authority are cutting services, but more people
still keep on coming. We have to STOP giving money and benefits and housing to immigrants, unless
they can fund themselves, no benefits or NHS treatment for the 3 years.
Harsh as it may seem our system WAS set up for US, not to be given in a free for all buffet, it pisses
me off when I am paying for it, when I need the buffet all the plates are empty and I have paid for
it, lets face it we are not a Charity.
The thing with immigration and the EU is that it has never been put to a vote of the people. The entire EU system has no legitimacy, so why all these people are being allowed into a country despite the native people having never given their consent is mindboggling.

The money is there to pay things, but the politicians who let the immigrants in also use them as a convenient scapegoat too. There was money for bailouts, there is money for trident, there is money for a new parliament sauna, there is money for MP expenses, there is money for war, there is more money for spying and crisis actors, there is money for everything except the British people and their necessities like schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. Immigration shouldn't even be a part of the equation though. It shouldn't be.
I can't see the point of immigration, when your own population needs employment it's a no brainier
see to the native population FIRST , housing, health care, jobs , with a large influx of immigrant
workers that drive down wages, what benefit to the British work none, only to the employers.
In my area most of the factory's employ immigrant workers, this is of no benefit to the locals most
of the people I talk to despise them, it may seem harsh but that's what they say .
One week you have job, next week you have lost your job and replaced with immigrant workers,
it's not rocket science they resent immigrant's because they have cost them there jobs a simple
fact if they were not here they would still have a job.
