This is dead right. It's a regional thing rather than a religion thing. Look at the way women are treated in India, the attitude to rape, domestic violence, honour killings, acid attacks and so on. Basically a big chunk of the world are backwards fucking savages towards women and anybody not from their group or tribe. Religion is just another thing they use to differentiate and justify their actions but not even the main one in most cases (not recently though in Muslim countries).
Islam is but a means to normalize such practices. India IS a "Muslim country", there are over 180 Million Muslims in India.
There are also 800 million Hindus and gang rapes, acid attacks, honour killings and so on are all popular pastimes in the Hindu population and honour killings are backed by a lot of Hindu politicians.

Islam surely does not have a monopoly on bad ideas and archaic customs.

Yeah both cultures suppress their females and stand over them while their 'just religions' stand idle about it.

There are terrorist Hindu groups as well who have perpetrated tons of attack in India against minorities. Hell, even the Buddhists have the Bodu Bala Sena. I don't think there exists a true religion of peace because humans aren't peaceful by nature. We want to conquer and conquest and spill the blood of those who believe in a different imaginary man in the sky.

Humans can also show love, peace and compassion.

Of course, nothing is 100% either way. The guys who committed the Paris attacks I'm sure had loved ones and showed compassion to people just like anyone else. But at the end of the day human history is littered with war, conflict and turmoil. We love violence. We're posting on a forum dedicated to a sport where two guys go into a ring and try to give each other a brain injury. We love violence.

Boxing is skill and entertainment. We are capable of violence but also kindness.

It's entertaining because it's violent. A guy like Rigo or Floyd wins a fight on skill with minimal violence and people hate it.

Could be the motto of the United States Armed Forces....but everyone likes to paint us as the murderers, the bad guys....they forget who gets called when there are lives to save after natural disasters.....oh but we evil Americans probably cause those.....cause we're evil and that's why we did the Marshall Plan.
