Good list, I'd throw Floyd in there too.

I was thinking about him and Chavez but thought they did not do enough at the weight.

What about the old fighters like Joe Gans, Barney Ross, Armstrong, Ambers, Montgomery, Beau Jack, Ike Williams. Some of those on video look monsters.

Floyd didn't stay there long but averaging how great he was at 130 and 140 I think it's safe to say he'd have been great at 135 had he stayed there. He for sure could have competed with Sweet Pea at the very least. Tough fight for both guys. Pea was very physically strong and dug hard to the body.

Mosley would have a chance because he was MASSIVE at the weight, had some speed, and had devastating power.

Mosley would have been the hardest puncher Whitaker had ever fought at that point.

Dunno , I think at light and punch for punch, Pendleton's right was just as hard as a Mosley hook. Mosley was so so fast but he wasn't exactly taking names and stacking claims at lightweight.

Whitaker to me had deceptive lower trunk strength that would help him with a flurry & clinch Camacho. Could even see him the far sharper and finding good spots as aggressor as crazy that sounds.

I have to go with Sweet Pea also. Talking pure historical ranking I feel that only Duran is in the discussion vs/with Pernell at 135. Talking head to head match up, I think Floyd and Duran are 50/50 with him, while Chavez and Shane present certain problems and significant challenges, but still come up short. Camacho loses outright, but his speed and boxing ability make it a tough fight for Pea.

Awesome find bro. I know sparring is sparring and not a real fight, but I can only imagine that's what would happen if they ever had a real match. Pernell just did everything better than Camacho, all respect to the Macho one.
