Well he did amazing well from doing that.

If it was that easy why don't other fighters try it?

Sad Ali was not allowed to fight 67-70. I can only speculate how impressive he would have been.

    The rematch 'Sucked'.

Heavyweights are supposed to fight and punch, not play 'slappy-slappy' like the Three Stooges.

I'm inclined to agree with Bill here Ali upsetting Foreman was obviously special and the most significant case of a HW reclaiming the title, but the Spinks fights were in fact rubbish. Ali was almost completely shot and fighting a novice, those fights really shouldn't count for much. I'd even say Holyfield is a more legitimate 3 time world champion for beating John Ruiz, lol.

    In the rematch,

Muhammad Ali won, but really lost.

He showed the World he was really shot.

And poor Leon, was exposed as a fighter in need of much improvement.

Yes after 20 years of boxing he was shot. How could that be?

Fighters do do it but get criticized for stinking the place out. Its where the golden oldies blind viewpoints come in

People degrade Floyd for the exact same reasons,he still makes the best opposition available look wanting in the process.

Foreman fought an unbelievably stupid fight against Ali. Talk about a stubborn, blockheaded fool, that was Foreman from the beginning to the end of that fight.
I like Foreman, always have, but that day his brain was stuck in double-stupid from all the Ali BS.
It took me as long to forgive Foreman as it took him to forgive himself! Lol
Eternally grateful I never bet on fights!!!!

    Facts are Facts

Ali is the greatest not based on his fights with Spinks when he was old but on beating the monster Liston when no one gave him a chance, fighting in the biggest boxing event ever against Joe Frazier, beating the other monster Foreman and the brutal war with Frazier in Manilla.

No other fighter can list a better record than Muhammad Ali. Learn to live with it and maybe you can move on in your life. We will not think any less of you for it.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
