On the other hand should he win he would immediately double his purse for that now unification showdown.

    Tough call
He's in a great spot. A Lee fight in the UK/Ireland is the most lucrative. But if Lee loses to Kid Ovaltine, as @IamInuit refers to him, which is a distinct possibility, then the Lee fight won't happen.
I assume that if Saunder loses to N'Dam he loses his mandatory spot for a fight against the Lee/Kid Ovaltine winner?

I actually think N'Dam is a tougher fight for Saunders than Quillin. Saunders can box, but he doesn't hit that hard. N'Dam can box too, and is faster than Saunders, but doesn't have a great chin. Quillin is the worst boxer of the three, but has the biggest punch. Saunders has a chance at an upset against Quillin if he boxes and moves. I'm not sure he can box and move against N'Dam. Therefore, I might wait out for Lee/Kid Ovaltine winner.
I think he would only lose that spot if he wins and even then, we don't know what the fine print is on his step aside contract. The WBC is famous for penalizing those who challenge for an alternate while also being their mandatory. Its the reason for that silly 141 fight between Peterson and Mattheysse. Not sure how the WBO handles these situations. I wonder if BJ's handlers figured this scenario in and then installed some kind of caveat? They had to know it was possible.

I agree that he loses all those fights. He may be an A level domestic fighter, but I can't see him moving further on the world championship stage.

I think he loses to Quillin, not sure about N'Dam and I can't see why he can't beat Lee.
In his last 2 fights , Lee went down to LMW (because they thought he was finished at MW) and was getting beat easily against Jackson before the Hail Mary shot.
He only went back up because they gifted him a title shot and the fight was a carbon copy of the fight before.
Saunders is fairly skilful without being brilliant and I think he could outbox Lee and NOT fall for the Haymaker.

To be fair what is Lee?

He's only a decent domestic fighter. He got stopped by Chavez Jr!

Saunders would be too tricky for Lee.

Saunders is a credit to the sport. I am a fan of his now.

He should let his manager/lawyer do the talking. Telling the IBF to piss off was worded nicely.

They might well be closely related in fairness I think Tyson Fury is pretty funny to be honest, and to give credit, both of them are damn fine boxers considering what you might expect from such characters. If they both fall quickly from grace, I think they would have no problem on the Caravan bare knuckle circuit.

Saunders is way more refined technique wise than Fury. Sanders was a great amateur, where his speed served him well. I think Saunders has it in him to beat Lee. My grandparents lived in a caravan.:-)

How is a world champ only a decent domestic level fighter? I think your understanding of levels is way off.

If Lee gets past Quillen which I very much doubt Saunders has an easier time against him than he did Eubank.

Lees title reign wont get as far as a Saunders fight.

Why is Fury beating world ranked fighters while Saunders last fight was against a relative novice?

Ross give Saunders some credit. Saunders fought 4 unbeaten fighters and now in line with a world title shot. He is better than a lot of people thought including Eubanks.
