Semin has always been streaky, always had an attitude problem. Shame for a guy so talented. Alexei Kovalev was the same way, probably had more talent than anyone in the league but was so mediocre for the most part. At least Carolina will have good odds in the Connor McDavid sweepstakes.

Lots of hype around Connor McDavid, people are saying he's the best prospect to come around since Crosby 10 years ago. Full package with hockey IQ at an advanced level.

Kovalev was an amazing player. Sooooo smooth on the ice. But like I said flakey Russians.

They've spread the %'s out this year for the draft which brings the last place team's chances from 25% to 20% and gives more of a chance to teams ranked 20-25th. Carolina are sitting at 9.50% and the Sens are at 6%, neither team is making the playoffs so yeah, best to lose every game from here on out and pray you get McDavid, who seems to have the makings of a legit superstar and potential game changer for some lucky franchise.

Amazing. Back in February I was hoping the Sens would lose every game because they had no chance of making the play offs. April 10th and they have the 2nd wild card spot. What a crazy run.

Makes sense. The Canes have no good right wingers, Semin was supposed to fill that void but he's a bum. Timo Meier could be another solid option, he's got good size already and is only going to get stronger.

McDavid and Eichel will go first and second, but then you got guys like Dylan Strome, Mitch Marner, Pavel Zacha, Hanifan... there's no shortage of good picks in the draft.

I've got a game tonight against a team that is typically VERY good. If we keep our line changes quick and play good position hockey we should give them a hard run. I need to score some damn goals though, I've got to have better stickhandling too. I played pretty sloppy the last game but did well enough to not really hamper the team. We've just got to get goals quick, defend well and keep the line changes fast.

Bit of trouble in the capitals v penguins.. Ovechkin smashed letang and letang is hurt bad, and some wrestling at the following faceoffs....

Did anyone see the ovechkin letang hit? whats wrong with it, I don't fully understand ice hockey rules yet, he's certainly upset the penguins..

actually it might have been kunitz instead of letang

The two handed slash you mean? It was pretty blatant

Well my damn game got cancelled because the other team didn't have enough players....fucking ridiculous. We can't seem to have a game a week so we can find a groove it's a game every other week and it sucks.

Ovechkin's slash on Letang was pretty shitty as was his opt out of a fight against Kunitz. That's another thing the Ruskies and Europeans don't do well.....fight.

I'll give Ovi the benefit of the doubt on that, he was probably trying to draw the instigator penalty on Kunitz or Perron. Ovi's a beast and one of the few Russian stars that can hold his own.

Kovalchuk was another guy cut from that cloth, over 6 foot and 230-240lbs of muscle. I remember Braydon Schenn picking a fight with Kovalchuck and getting rag dolled and knocked out quick.

I saw it later in the replay, I wasn't paying full attention to the game at the time, so I thought it was the hit on kunitz that started the rumble but I was incorrect..

We had a decent game vs the top team in our league on Sunday. I got an assist and was right behind a guy who got his teeth knocked out with a stick to the grill but we lost 5-2.
