out of Stockholm, Sweden since January 1962.

The 6-Year Professional is also former Heavyweight Champion - Ingemar Johansson's
sparring-partner.

John Robert has won all '4-Bouts' in Sweden, and is a durable fighter who has only been
stopped 'once' in 28-Bouts'.

This bout will be scheduled for 8-Rounds.

~ German Mildenberger Impressive In Decision Over American John Henry ~

Karl Mildenberger took control from the out-set and scored an impressive 8-Round Decision
over tough American - John Henry in 8-Rounds.

The southpaw German used stinging right-jabs from the outside to neutralize the American's
big right-hand swings over the first 3-Rounds.

In Round 4, John Henry did 'tag' Mildenberger with a big right-hand to the chin that had him
wobbly for a flash, but the German held on and boxed his way put of danger.

But in Round 5, Mildenberger took it to the American, and slammed away with heavy hooks to
both the body and head. Late in the Round, the German caught John Henry with a 'jolting'
left-hook to the ribs, and dropped him for a '6-Count'.

Mildenberger then 'dropped' the American again with another left-hook near the end of the Round.
John Henry took the full '9-Count' and then went fleeing backwards until the Bell sounded
ending Round 5.

With the bout well in hand, Mildenberger sent repeated right-jabs into the John Henry, who
spent the last 3-Ronds backing away, and holding whenever Mildenberger got in too close.

The Associated Press scored the bout for Karl Mildenberger {6-1-1} in Rounds.

Karl Mildenberger will take on another 'durable' American Heavyweight who has limited power.

Alonzo Johnon {Rankin, Pennsylvania} is a small Heavyweight, but he is an aggressive and durable
boxer/counter-puncher.

Alonzo has only been stopped 'once' {by Cleveland Williams} in 32-Bouts. He also took the
'highly-touted' Cassius Clay a tough 10-Rounds, in a bout that many thought Alonzo should
have earned at least a 'Draw' in Cassius Clay's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

Alonzo is a certified 'trial-horse', as he has only gone 5-10-0 in last 15-Bouts. But he still has
some 'tricks' up his sleeve, as he has recently upset 'touted prospects' in;

~ German Victorious Over American - Alonzo Johnson ~

German Heavyweight - Karl Mildenberger mixed in solid jabs and quick hooks to the body to win
a solid and convincing 10-Round Decision over American journeyman Alonzo Johnson.

The German, using his southpaw-stance, scored with repeated spearing right-jabs into the Johnson's
face, as the American pressed forward over the first 6-Rounds.

Though the Amercian made-the-fight, he was unable to solve the mystery of Mildenberger's southpaw
stance and sometimes awkward attack.

The American only had good Rounds in the 3rd and 6th, when he tagged Mildenberger with solid
lead-rights to the head, and short left-hooks while inside.

Mildenberger opened up on Johnson in Rounds 7 and 8 with 'heavy' left-hooks into his body,
that had the American bending low and protecting his ribs.

With the 'bout-well-in-hand' Mildenberger scored with more solid hooks in Rounds 9 and 10, as
Johnson was now backing away and was on the complete defensive, and only looking to survive.

The Associated Press scored the bout for Karl Mildenbeger {7-2-1} in Rounds.

Following this victory, Karl Mildenberger was back in the World-Rankings at #26.

Karl Mildenberger is looking to be impressive here, to earn a chance for the European Heavyweight
Championship.

'Jamaica' Joe Bygraves, is 10-Year Professional. The veteran' is a powerfully-built and muscular
slugger, as well as rugged in-fighter. Though he's at the 'tail-end' of his career, he can give
anyone a difficult time in the Ring.

Bygraves is a former British-Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion {1956/1957}.

Bygraves is coming off 'back-to-back' losses. A bad beating at the hands {LTKO 7} of former
Heavyweight Champion - Ingemar Johansson on February 9, 1962.

And a one-sided Decision Loss {L Dec 10} to American - Wayne Bethea on September 22, 1962.

Interesting here, is that Karl Mildenberger fought only 13-days earlier against American-
Alonzo Johnson.

~ German Mildenberger Awarded Controversial Decision Over Jamaican Bygraves ~

~ Mildenberger Wins By Technical Decision In '3' Over Jamaican Bygraves ~

Karl Mildenberger was awarded a 'controversial' 3-Round Technical Decision over Joe Bygraves.

The action was rough and aggressive during the first 2-Rounds, as Mildenberger attempted to box
from the outside, while the muscular Bygraves was using rough-house tactics.

Both fighters banged their heads hard into each other during a 'wild' Round 2. The German
left the Round with a 'welt' on his forehead, and Bygraves was sporting a swollen left-eye lid.

In Round 3, Mildenberger again attempted to box, but Bygraves bull-rushed the German into
the Ropes and mauled away with his arms and elbows.

While inside and close, both fighters banged heads again, and each suffered damage to their
face.

At the end of Round 3, the German Boxing Commission representative called for an end to the
bout, as both fighters were showing facial injuries.

Under the Boxing Rules, the bout went to the Scorecards, where Mildenberger was determined to
be the points winner.

Archie McBride is a solidly-built 5' 11" ~ 181 lb. small-Heavyweight. Archie has massive biceps
and is a physically strong in-fighter.

Archie is based out of Trenton, New Jersey and is managed by Author - Budd Schulberg.

Archie is a 16-year Professional who's been competing since 1946. Archie had retired in
1959, but came back in 1962.

He has had both of his bouts here in Germany, which he has won both impressively.

~ American McBride Holds World-Rated German Mildenberger To A Draw ~

Archie McBride, a near 34 year-old 'journeyman' Heavyweight from Trenton, New Jersey
held 'highly-regarded' German Heavyweight Karl Mildenberger to a 10-Round Draw.

The veteran, who was out-weighed by 10 lbs. and nearly 9 years older than his younger
German opponent, was the aggressor from the outset, as he continuously backed up
the German with short-and-powerful punches on the inside.

McBride was clearly the stronger fighter over the first-half of the bout, as he prevented
Mildenberger from getting off his fast-combinations.

Mildenberger was 'throttled' each time that he made a charge, and McBride was the
better man on the inside, especially in the middle-Rounds where he hurt Mildenberger
several times with heavy-hooks to the ribs.

Desperately behind after 6-Rounds, the German rallied with several flurries in the 7th
and 8th Rounds, but despite scoring, Mildenberger's punches lacked power to hurt McBride.

Both fighters traded crisp-punches over the last 2-Rounds, but neither had a clear advantage

Bruno Mueller, Manager for German Heavyweight - Karl Mildenberger has brought in former Heavyweight
Champion Joe Louis to help improve the punching power of the fast-boxing German.

The 25 year-old Mildenberger has failed to score a Knockout in his last '10-Bouts', and there is concern
about his punching-power, which has slowly diminished.

"I'm a bit concerned with Karl's sudden lack of power. He's hitting guys solid, but he is not hurting them,
even when catches them flush on the chin. We may have to make an adjustment with his leverage and
footwork."

a look at Karl's punching style and to offer his suggestions. I'm a bit perplexed at this stage, and we
need to get some more power in Karl's fists if he wants to progress, and move into the Top 10."
