Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
For me it was anytime Shavers lost or didn't fight.

There's a lot of disappointments in boxing, but there's a few that come to mind.
Settling down to watch boxing on Sky, only to find out that once again Junior Witter was headlining a card. Then hearing his (obviously ironic nickname) 'The Hitter', being announced, with the hope of him actually hitting something generally fairly slim.
Muhammad Ali

Getting turned down as a guest on The Tonight Show.
Seems that Muhammad could not put a coherent sentence together.
Nobody could understand what he was saying.
He sounded as if he stuffed a wad of cotton in his mouth.
It Was Beyond Embarrassment

You list any of these tragedies:
Top 10 Worst Moments in Boxing History - Listverse
Mayweather and Pacquiao blowing the opportunity to fight each other in their primes.
To elaborate, the moment is lost. From about the time PacMan defeated ODLH to approximately when he first faced Timothy Bradley, we had something really special on our hands: 2 all-time greats in the same weight division and at the red-hot primes of their careers. This never happened.
It's as if we are going straight to Leonard-Hearns II without having a I. Alternatively, if one views PBF as still in his red-hot prime (a reasonable opinion, but not one I hold) we have something closer to Tyson-Holmes. I mean, 2 red hot prime fighters in the same weight class and at this skill level is something very rare. Even Leonard-Duran doesn't quite qualify (Duran peaked at Lightweight). Ali-Frazier probably does, but even then we could quibble about Ali (he peaked before his Vietnam controversy).
I'll watch the fight of course, but I'm terribly disappointed.

Muhammad Ali

During a filmed gym session for a Press Release, Muhammad was trying to hit the Speed Bag.
Muhammad couldn't even get a good 10-Seconds off, before forgetting how to punch the Bag.
Embarrassing Moment #67 for Muhammad Ali
