I can think of one or two but Murray put on a great show, a real serious dude!! If the man had more power that would have been a different fight.
Yep, it was his lack of power that told. He just couldn't hit Golovkin hard enough to make him think twice. It was a gutsy showing. Murray is a tough guy.

I think GGG took his power from him by hurting him early.

GGG is an amazing fighter and can take the wind out of anyone's sails at his weight, but I'm sure Murray made every one proud who saw his performance, even though some of us might have doubted his sanity a bit.

GGG has a quirky way of punching. All the power seems to come at the last minute and at a strange angle. He must be incredibly fit to keep on throwing those bombs for the full 11 rounds.

Murray's face was in shock when he felt the power.

I was thinking along the same lines, after the first round GGG fights at the same pace the entire fight. He doesn't get faster he makes the other fighter slow down, he is relentless and quirky (like you said) that overhand left of his looks like it is coming straight down at times.
I know Murray doesn't have a lot of KOs, but GGG was taking some pretty clean shots and walking right through them. The guy is going to he around for a while!

I hope he does stay around but he is over 30 and like Chavez this type of style is hard to maintain.

Murray has something left in the tank. He took a beating but it wasn't a career-ending beating, as long as has confidence wasn't hurt. I agree with the posters that say he's probably the second best middleweight out there. He needs to a get an American attorney to help him with traveling the US. If he can't come to the US, there are a couple of big UK fights, especially with Saunders and Macklin if Macklin can get his act together a string together a couple of wins. Not to mention, if Murray's a big, strong middleweight, I bet he can move up to 168 and do well there. How about Groves vs. Murray in the UK if Groves gets a belt? Big fight?

Murray is a tough SOB it's a pity he had to face GGG, but he gave him a fight Martin took a

Well done Martin you faced the best middle weight, I have seen for some time GGG is something
    special.

I enjoyed the fight , Murray could be the second best MW out there , I fail to see why people don't like GGG he is a wonderful fighter.

Well done to the both of them.

Yes, he is a wonderful fighter. His combination punching is sublime and he is technically so solid. It's going to take someone very special to beat him. Golovkin has the mindset of a winner and it oozes through his pores.

Yes I agree. There is no reason not to like him and enjoy watching him fight. I've found that when a talented puncher like GGG or even Wilder come along, it is much more satisfying to hop on the bandwagon and root for them rather than bitterly wait until they lose to say "I told you so".

Murray was a credit to all us brits, came second in a great fight against a harder hitting version of Sugar Ray Leonard. He deserves to make good money, but sadly I cant see it in the current promotional scene. I can however see GGG becoming the next Manny Pac! Good luck to him

Murray's biggest stumbling block is that he can't fight in the States because of his Criminal record. His South African promoters have done everything they promised to do, but can they deliver other top fighters in that division to Monte Carlo?
    Quillin - No chance.
    Lee- Loses to Quillin anyway.
Cotto - not a hope in hell.
Winner of N'Dam v Lemieux - will probably want to capitalise Stateside. Maybe, but would take big bucks to make them defend away from home to a dangerous opponent.

Murray took a lot of punishment which may have aged him but based on that you'd give him a chance against any other middleweight. I think he gave up on winning pretty early and after that it was a survival mission but he lacked the fire power to keep triple G off him

Golovkin looked great. Taken late but murray was defensive minded against an aggressive fighter who takes risks I think we'll see more drama early. Cotto wouldn't have lasted that long
