Larry Holmes was already old a step slow when he fought Spinks. in the middle rounds he could not pull the trigger the same way he used to pull it. Plus Spinks was one slick wiley outstanding boxer

Yeah Spinks was skilled no doubt but so was Holmes and he was a real HW. He should never have lost to Spinks.

Tyson showed Spinks that he had no business in the HW division.

Don't tell me Holmes was old or slow against Spinks, earlier versions of Holmes were inexperienced and barely 200lbs himself! There's every reason to believe that guy would have had a hard time with Spinks also.

Holmes simply did not have the punching power to put the cruiser away.
