To be fair to GGG all the other top contenders seem to be tied up or not answering his call Cotto acting like a diva, Quillin/ Lee set to fight, Martinez still not sure if he will continue, already beaten Murray and Geale, Taylor in custody, Soliman might have been a possibility, Sturm moving to 168, N'jikam/ Lemieux are heading towards each other, Jacobs/ Truax going to fight, Saunders waiting on Quillin/ Lee winner I actually think Johnson would have been a better than Munroe, but Munroe has some momentum after winning the Boxcino tournament and the Vera win it's a fight that will continue to build Golovkins status

Miguel Cotto-- doesn't want the fight now.
Sergio Martinez-- is in rehab and semi-retirement and odds are he does not fight again, let alone fight GGG.
Peter Quillin-- does not want the fight and is already engaged.
Daniel Jacobs-- has a fight coming up in April.
Hassan N’Dam-- has a fight coming up soon.
Jermain Taylor-- just a waste of time and may be side-lined again due to his own stupidity.
Marco Antonio Rubio-- was just destroyed by GGG.
Andy Lee-- would take the fight but already engaged.
Dmitry Chudinov-- just coming off of a loss to Eubank and really was not in play.
    Sam Soliman-- still in rehab.
Felix Sturm-- engaged with a fight already.
Daniel Geale-- was just destroyed by GGG.
Martin Murray-- was just destroyed by GGG.
Billy Joe Saunders-- has not made a whimper since eaking out a win vs. Eubank.
David Lemieux-- already engaged with another fight.
Jermall Charlo- engaged with another fight.
Eubank Jr.- has just recently fought Chudinov, and could have been lined up but he obviously wants a rematch with Saunders and the winner of Lee/Quillin.
Patrick Nielson- does not want to fight outside of Finland. And if you are going to fight Nielson, then you may as well fight Johnson/Monroe Jr.

Sergio Mora- could have taken the GGG fight.

Willie Monroe Jr- could have taken this fight AND HAS taken this fight. But he and Tureano Johnson are almost identically ranked by the WBC and the WBA. So you could have had either, plus Johnson is signed with Roc Nation and has had more exposure and a tougher fight schedule than Monroe- Johnson having fought Stevens, most notably.

Tureano Johnson was also slated to be GGG's next opponent. But Monroe talked himself into it.

Also for those calling for GGG to move to 168, what's the guarantee the top guys there fight him? Ward is inactive and would need a tune up fight, Froch wants Chaves Jr, the Abraham/ Stieglitz - Sturm round robin will play out for a bit, Anthony is gfight Jack, Andre and DeGale look set to fight, Bika going to fight Stevenson, is Ramirez a better opponent than Monroe or Johnson

Instead of blaming Golovkin the finger should be pointed at Cotto at this stage and Martinez before that

Cotto is the villain in this drama, holding on to the title he won from a bicyclist/soccerplayer turned boxer(who started at welter). Miguel plays it safe and he loses the hard earned respect as the clock is ticking. If Cotto had any momentum, he has lost it and will surely be in a tough spot if he fights a middleweight next.
What we all want is GGG to become the true champion, because the division will die with a cherry-picking champion, just like some lower divisions have died because of Pac/May moving up and doing the same.
But in the meantime just enjoy GGG for what he does and the big drama shows he puts on. Be a fan and enjoy the moment with him so we can remeber them in the future, not nagging about him facing the cowards who are supposed to be stars. Otherwise we forget to appreciate what he delivers in his fights.

Monroe jr. is literally not going to know what hit him here. Good kid, but if Golovkin is compared to J.C Chavez..this will be his John Duplessis.
