GGG probably by KO, but it would tell us a lot about both fighters to be fair.
Golovkin said he would come down for pac or nob ed, why not alverez

Why Should he? Mayweather and Pac both started at divisions way below Light Middle and Middle and would have to move up a bit to make the match. Canelo is a light Middle who has been constantly banging on about moving up to MW. in his last fight, I believe it was above the Light Middle limit anyway.
I'm not a massive fan of catchweights , but if Canelo and GGG were to compromise and meet halfway, fair enough.
if we're being honest, Canelo's future is at MW, and he wanted Cotto , which would've been the perfect first step. But I don't think he's ready to move up and take GGG's power even at a catchweight.

Canelo said recently he isn't moving up to middleweight any time soon.

GGG destroys him but Canelo would land some good shots. They wouldn't matter but he'd land some good shots.

It's really a terrible matchup for Canelo because Canelo likes to work then rest, work then rest. GGG does massive damage when his opponent isn't working.

GGG wins at middleweight and I think also at light middle.

There is absolutely no chance of either Alvarez or Cotto fighting GGG. It's just not going to happen. Golovkin could beat both of them on the same night.

GGG destroys anyone 160 and down. He would likely agree to fight Canelo at 154 and it wouldn't make a difference, he would chew Canelo up and stop him around the 6th round (if not sooner).

i agree with this to a certain extent, styles make fights

i have to say tho perhaps the way to beat Golovkin is to stand your ground and try and edge forward

canelo may do that and have some success

I think this would make a top fight , Canelo is tough and busy , GGG is calculated and deadly.
Make the fight , GGG late stoppage.

Anyone and everyone who has had the balls to get in the ring with him. Quillin and Cotto are the only two left and they won't even mention his name. I don't blame them, he would destroy both like he has destroyed the others.
