For instance, take the DLH fight. Most people thought Manny was going to get killed, Manny pulls the big upset and hands DLH a beating. Instead of pumping his fighter up, saying "yeah we know DLH is a legend and it was going to be a tough fight but I was confident in my fighter's greatness", ect ect, he goes out and tells everyone that he saw that DLH couldn't pull the trigger anymore - that he was washed up - and that's why they took the fight. Why would you admit that?

Floyd would probably argue they are A level against normal opponents but it is he that makes them C level.

IT's not very difficult; he's overtalking so the heat is directed toward him and not Manny. Which is pretty pretty smart actually. While they talk about him, Manny can focus quietly. Roach has been in the business since the dawn of dawns, he knows how it goes and what pressure is. He's just playing his violins accordingly.

I don't think it affects a fighters standing much what is said before a fight either, only what happens in the ring. Anyway Roach should really consider shutting his pie-hole. He's a media whore that probably causes as many problems and distractions for his fighter as anything else.
