Isn't stopping anyone in the amateurs a good result? Especially doing it twice against a current world champion?
We have to wonder if this is a Forrest/ Mosely situation where anytime they fought amateur or professional if one guy just has the other guys number. ... Or if things changed, and a fight between the two now shed light on all the difference of training coaching and learning can make. To me it looks Beterbiev does well swarming a guy and mugging him, but a big part of me wonders if he can fight going backwards. We've seen Kovalev step back and drop a right hand over the the jab on numerous occasions and then use that as a springboard toward at all out assault. Beterbievs looks to be trained by Pacals trainer (-roy jones, - sports psychologist, -nurtitionist, etc)
I like both fighters. Kov has earned his world title, Beterbiev looks even better and could be the start of a great rivalry.
