He will be. Once Kovalev gets him in the ring it'll be pants around the ankles and no more belt for you time.

I believe Rhonda Roussey should be stripped. Just for my own little fantasy.

Yes because a share holder in Gbp promotions was going to bend over backwards running after a just signed Al Haymon fighter who was perceived as opting out of a building super fight. So, Hopkins thought Kovalev was easy money and rode the momentum Stevenson walked away from frankly. Adonis got clowned. How'd that EASY assessment of Kovalev work out![]()

Kovalev will get bigger money. He is taking chances, beating top fighters, unifying titles and becoming a household name. Stevenson will get beat when they meet.

Haymon gets himself paid, make no mistake that is the only thing he cares about. Kovalev is beating up a legend and top contenders to clearly bigger things. Hopkins was about investment and a statement. Haymon will keep Santa Cruz wallowing in mediocrity facing guys of little interest with zero interest in making big immediate fights. I like Santa Cruz but he has the style of a short shelf life and it started to show last fight out. Slow and lethargic there, jumping up a division with already little power. Stevenson will make good coin today, but has nothing to gain and all to lose facing a guy not even ranked in his division.
