The list of opponents Amir has fought shows that he's not worried about his chin. Maidana hits hard (Ask Broner). Collazo hits hard (Ask Hatton and Ortiz). Amir beat them both. Just because you don't hit like GGG does not mean it's an easy fight.

Sure Algieri got beaten easy and knocked down a lot by Pac-Man BUT Pac man didn't get him outta of there. And there is no disgrace with losing heavily to one of the best P4P fighters out there. How would it look if Amir did what Pac-Man could not do and KO or stop Algieri ?
1)nobody will care because Algieri is a FNFs level fighter.

2)if Brook were to fight Thurman the winner of that fight would be far ahead of Khan for next up. And Garcia is still ahead

3)it's not like Brook is the only guy Khan passed on. Thurman would have jumped at the fight. He had the option to fight Bradley in an eliminator. That would have gotten him 2 big fights. But he chose a FNFs opponent instead. One that is thought of so poorly Showtime rejected the fight.

4)people are crazy if they think Khan would get 20 million from Floyd or Manny. Cotto didn't get that much from either, Shane didn't get that much from fighting both, Marquez couldn't get the 25 million he wanted after beating Pac repeatedly. No way in hell Khan gets 20 million from either. He'd be lucky to get as much as Brook is offering.

Well what does that say about Pac-Man, that a FNF fighter can take him the distance ? Algieri beat Ruslan Provodnikov to get the Pac man slot. Provodnikov KO-ed Luis Castillio straight after losinmg to Algieri (Yeah I know Castillio was past it at 41, but Castillo is still the only fighter to come close to beating Mayweather) also Provodnikov gave Tim Bradley hell before losing as UD to him and Provodnikov beat Chop-Chop Corley too. I think you are being a bit harsh calling Algieri and FNF level fighter.

If I knew the lottery numbers I'd be rich. Brook has not fought Thurman. So we can't judge. Khan has better chance of beating Mayweather or Pac-Man or causing them trouble than Garcia.

Khan would make the same money fighting Algieri as he do would fighting Thurman. If you had the final call in "Team Khan" - Would you go for Thurman, even though you can fight Algieri and get paid the same as would do fighting Thurman ? No you wouldn't. Boxing a a businees. Fact is Khan beats Algieri and he's in pole postion to face the Mayweather - Pac Man winner.

Look - Thurman is a good fighter, but for a man who everyone says hit's like a Tank. He has won his last fights by UD - No bad thing - Guerrero and Bundu are quality fight, but he did not school them either.

Algieri would beat Jo-Jo Dan. The Brook fight will happen and Khan will beat Brook. Brook was a bit lucky to beat Porter in my book. Even the UK commentators had Porter winning. If Khan fights Floyd-Pac Man winner, Sure Khan may not get the 20 mill, but he'll still get, by far, the biggest payday of his career.

One thing I haven't said so far. Why does Khan feel he has to disrespect Jo Jo Dan to justify his pathetic line of thought . Dan legitimately fought his way into a mandatory position and got his shot. Ok, he got beat and he got beat well. Maybe Algieri beats him, maybe not, let's not forget although Algieri is tall, he is a Light Welterweight. What has Dan done to be called No No Dan?
Khan is a fucking prick, and even his biggest fans or people that rate him highly cannot logically justify the reasoning behind taking this fight.

You know this means that Khan will never fight in the UK again unless it is with Brooks?

I don't think many people will lose sleep over that. I can't remember the last time he fought over here. I'm convinced his fan base isn't very big over here anymore, and if he fights Brook, he will be the "away fighter."

Khan does have a big fan base and if Brooks was not around I am sure he would fight in the UK just to stay relevant over here. He has been effectively exiled now.
