True but when you dispatch a guy that easily, you don't have to fight him 3-4 times. Pac should have taken note

At least Manny made the weight against JMM.

Styles makes fights. Marquez is a counter puncher who fought fire with fire. Didn't hide in his shell like most of Pacquiao's opponents. God damn it, we are all hoping Floyd does that. If he does and wins and stays pretty, I'm sold. He can say he's the greatest of all time and people will not call him delusional. If not, and he hides behind the Philly Shell, pot shots while Pacman throws 800 punches or more like everyone says, say goodbye to that '0' and say hello to a rematch.

Marquez got lucky. And I mean that in a good way. He fought fire with fire for 41 rounds (excluding the 1st round of the 1st fight where he got blitzed). For the first 36 rounds, he has always had the opportunity for that right hand counter. But, luck is when preparation and opportunity meets. Marquez prepared well for the 4th fight. He bulked up and trained for power. When the perfect opportunity came again and boy was it perfect, he delivered. As for Pacquiao, he lived by the sword and died by the sword.

Marquez is a counter puncher but not the same as Floyd. Marquez needs the aggression on the inside without it he doesn't generate good offense. This is why Marquez loses against lesser skilled technicians who stay on the outside. Against Juan Diaz or Pacquiao her's a monster but against Chris John or Floyd he struggles. Floyd doesn't need the aggression to generate offense.

Yes they are very different. But Marquez layed the blueprint. Nobody wins against Pacquiao if they choose to shell up and pot shot. That ain't the formula. Be it a counter puncher or a straight up brawler, you need to take him out of the zone and make him hesitate by making him eat powerful counters before he launch his attack. Bradley tried that on the 2nd fight but he just didn't have the power. Pacquiao is a pitbull and a counterpunch is a shock collar that make him snap out everytime he growls. It's risky to try to be one step ahead of him everytime because he's very fast. You need to have a good pair of balls to do that let alone enough power to get respect from him. Marquez did have both on the 4th fight.

He could have sent JMM on his way and fought somebody else.

    The 144 idea was Mayweather's.
He didn't meet his OWN weight...JMM didn't call any shots.

It wasn't 600K..you don't have to make shit up.
