You know im a huge RJ fan but i cant say 100% that he didnt take anything, the way he fell off from the top was something weird all together. ALl of sudden the power wasnt there, the speed wasnt there, and the chin wasnt there.....

But all that being said, speculation aside, pound 4 pound(by skills not accomplishments) not too many fighters in history can touch him.

He was one of the very best, the absolute elite of the elite level. Anyone who says he avoided his biggest challenges has no clue what they're talking about.

He probably did take some kind of PED, but so was everyone else at the time, let's not kid ourselves.

What about the bums he fought at LHW? Julio Cesar Gonzalez? David Telesco? Derrick Harmon? Clinton Woods?

If those are bums then don't look at Kovalev's resume.

He never should have gone back down to 175. You just don't put on that kind of muscle and drop it like that, especially at that age. Recipe for disaster.

Chris Byrd did the same thing years ago, he dropped from HW to LHW. He used to have an amazing chin that stood up well to some of the biggest HW bangers, then he fought a 175lber a 40% KO ratio and got hurt with every punch that landed. He looked so slow and fragile, it was a disaster.

After Ruiz, Jones said he wanted to set up a mega fight with Mike Tyson and retire. That's what he should have done, because Mike was so washed up Roy would have danced circles around him all night.

Roy was an unbelievable talent and definitely a great fighter who could've beaten anyone at or around his weight during his prime. That being said, he fought weak competition for the vast majority of his prime and will not and should not go down in history as a top 35-40 ATG. Before anyone starts trying to argue semantics and play the "well what about so and so...", let me say this: Google his record, then Google rankings for that time and count how many top challengers/threats Roy fought while in his prime. Then reach down real deep and pull out some objectivity and you will understand.

You name me one ATG who hasn't fought a few bums at their weight class.

after Jones, Woods was IBF champion for a while and holds a draw and a win over Glen Johnson.

Bum is a stretch... Sure he wasn't p4p elite by any means, but Jones was Jones was able to toy with him.

How can you PROVE that EVERYBODY else was taking PEDs at that time or any time??

RJJ's so-called PED use was a DRINK he bought in a convenience store that had a substance that was LATER banned.

Sinus meds ... topical creams and lotions....sometimes...often times.... contain banned substances..

To say RJJ took steroids is disrespectful and irresposible.

The majority of athletes use PEDs. You're naive if you think otherwise.

All of sudden the power wasn't there?!..what do you mean?

    He lost 25lbs in muscle!

The guy went up and won the heavyweight title and then down again and beat tarver at light heavyweight!!!

    Roy is the man.

Roy Jones in a dream fight with floyd mayweather pound for pound would be the ultimate super fight!
