About the possibility of Americans losing, you all forgot that they had the nuke ahead of everyone else. Before America would lose, Berlin would have been blown to smithereens...

I thought the US stole all the best German scientists so were ahead of the space race and nuclear weapons.

Reminds me of a movie I like called U571.
Good movie for war buffs.

U571 good movie. And yes master. The German scientists were in a rush to surrender to the US as the Russians closed in. Not all the scientists were clean of war crimes but the US pulled some magic to clean their records. The US space program evolved from the German V2 rocket.

You know how in the film it's an American crew that go in? I guess being a worldly man you know that it was actually Brits?
