I don't believe he PURPOSELY fought Broner that bullrush style simply because it was effective. That's just the way Porter fights.
He leaves himself open to shots, as we saw when he walked on to Broners left hook. Kell Brook was able to pick him off every time he came rushing in when they fought, and he didn't make adjustments to stop it happening. Porter has a very good chin, so while he might get hit a lot, its hard to stop him coming forward because his chin can take it.
As Porter continues to fight more effective counter punchers, his losses will pile up. Count on it.

Good analysis! Porter wants to be Mike Tyson, but doesn't have Tyson's speed or movement which
makes him predictable.
I think he should get completely away from his father for a while. In my opinion, some smart boxing mixed in with all that aggression would make a huge difference.

Porter is hardly Wlad Klitschko. What made the last fight boring was Broner's clinching and holding the head down. Porter came to fight.

Porter does seem to try and muscle his way to victory without much skill.

I've seen worse. I'd rather watch a guy fight sloppy but fight rather than a guy hold and skip about in order to avoid one.

So is Broner. Put them together and you have appropriate punishment for a captured terrorist.

As much as I hate to say anything positive about a murdering nutter, Valero impressed in DeMarco fight and looked much 'cleaner' than a Porter. I can never knock a guy for making fugly work and being a grinder. It says just as much about the opponent who couldn't sort him out ala Brook.
Maidana v Porter. This needs to happen for my viewing pleasureBoth have found the jab
