I agree with your sentiment but I really don't view Collazo as "weak opposition". He's a tricky veteran southpaw who has a long history of being a spoiler, making big name guys look bad (and often getting robbed on the scorecards). He's also durable as fuck. This is not the ideal guy you want your young KO artist in with, because Thurman is going to have to think, conserve himself and come up with dynamic offence.

Would I rather see Thurman in with guys like Khan, Porter, Brook, or even Mayweather and Pac? Of course. But if those fights can't be made, I think savvy veterans like Collazo and Guerrero are respectable "stay busy" fights. This isn't like Deontay Wilder, who fights guys like Jason Gavern and Eric Molina in the mean time: guys with no real world stage experience and early KO's on their records who were selected to go down quick and make Deontay look like a million bucks. Collazo isn't the guy you choose to fight to make you look good or to get a quick KO. He's a real opponent with skill who's coming to win.

Collazo has a long history because he is old and thus getting worse. He just had a pathetic performance vs Khan where this "tricky" fighter put his hands down and walked face first into a beating round after round because his feet are so slow at this point he can't do anything else. Thurman will walk him into punches over and over. If I'm wrong i will gladly admit it but if this is a one sided beatdown(and since Collazo isn't ranked top 15 in any organization it should be) i hope all those saying this is a good fight come back for their crow.

Tony Harrison has a serious chance to steal the show tonight.

Atlas seriously talking up Thurman. Let's see how he looks tonight against someone he's fully expected to beat.

    Harrison story is good.

    Good 1st round.
I could see the fight ending on a short left hook by Harrison.

Nelson who doesn't have the best of chins took those left hooks pretty well

Harrison looks like he might be coming apart.
