look at the names over last 15 years - he's a dead cert

As much as I like Barry Mcguigan as a person I didn't think he did enough to get in

Well it is the Hall of "Fame".

Gatti is in there, so why not Froch?

Froch beat enough top guys in his era to make the HOF, just maybe not in his first year of eligibility.

Only if we don't have to hear him give an acceptance speech

Yea he has to be. Sometimes it comes down the contribution the man gives to the sport, and Froch has contributed alot. The guy is a warrior, was in some great fights, even beat guys I and many others expected to beat him. He also filled an 80,000 seater stadium and while many don't advocate box office in this country, at least the fights he had on box office against Kessler & groves were actually worth the money.

I presume he got in based on what was going on out of the ring at the time he was fighting. But in saying that its not exactly an exclusive list.

Should he get in? No. Will he get in? Yes.

As stated earlier, he didn't duck anyone, and went across the world fighting the best during super six.

More of an internationally recognised and respected pro boxer than say Andre Ward or other so called greats still fighting.

A shoe in for HOF. Am not a big fan, but respect and it is due here.

He's ducked quite a few recently , especially with the Chavez - Vegas saga , spitting his dummy out at every other possible opponent mentioned.
I also don't think he is more respected than Ward. Although Ward has let himself down with non-activity in the last few years, He is light years ahead of Froch in every facet of Boxing, and ultimately that is the most important thing Surely?
The IBHOF is clearly a load of bollocks if any World Champion can get in. Shouldn't it be more elitist than that ?
Still Sylvester Stallone is in, so I kind of think that says it all really.

Would you care to elaborate and do so objectively?

I'm not sure I can since the question is mostly a subjective one. But, I don't think he should be in the Hall of Fame since he was not "the guy" in his division at any point during his career.

I suppose you could argue that someone need not be "the champ" in cases where he was avoided and did not ever get a championship fight. I also think you could just have one of the titles and not the lineal title too. But, you have to be the guy at some point in any division where you have fought. He had the opportunity to be the guy but fell short. So, he falls short of the Hall too.

I don't mean this to be a slight on the career of Carl. I just have a different standard for entering the Hall than some.
